Heard Cleveland offered Memphis their #4 pick in exchange for Rudy Gay (w/help of their trade exception). Memphis rejected.
I’m fine with this.

I would like to see Gay in a Cavs uniform. If Grant can make it happen, go for it!
The money is a little much for Gay and I think thats a big sticking point but he was playing incredible basketball before he got hurt. He really was playing better than Z-Bo, was their best defender (sorry Tony Allen) and shot all of their late shots. All of that without a good shot creating guard and no outside help. especially shooting, where he is very good. And honestly, who at #4 will be a better basketball player than Rudy Gay?
Only downside is he’s got a hefty contract. He’s a very good and consistent talent and I hope we can still pull this deal off. I think it’s easy to say no right now as the Grizz see what else they can get for him. So I don’t think we are out of the hunt yet.
One thing memphis has to understand is that they can’t keep rudy, oj, and gasol all on the team. I would rather have gasol, oj, cap space, and the 4th pick of the draft than a combination of one of the four and gay
THATS A GOOD DEAL. WHY NOT DO THAT TRADE MEMPHIS YU WENT TO THE SECOND ROUND OF THE PLAYOFFS WITHOUT RUDY GAY AND THEN YOU GT THE NUMBER 4 PICK YU GET A GOOD YOUNG TALENT. LIKE BRANDON KNIGHT, ENES KANTER, OR KEMBA WALKER.
