Mike Miller could be back tonight for the Cavs. It will be interesting to see if they bounce back after that humiliating loss to the Hawks. The Nets are 10-14 and the Cavs are 14-10. The Cavs took over the second half against the Nets in Brooklyn a few games back.
Let’s talk about it here!
Kyrie starting to feel it
Where did Plumlee learn that sick behind his head reverse dunk? He looked like Rik Smits out there
Miller single handedly keeping the good guys in it tonight! Just an AWESOME display tonight!
I am drinking a miller for every point he has tonight
You’re going to pass out Gregg!
It’s worth it it will remind of being a Browns fan when I was young!
That would have been the Kosar era for me. How about you?
Miller is going to send you to the hospital if he gets a few more open looks at threes.
Yeah miller I might even drink one of those
I like Andy and love just not on the court at the same time. Spacing issues maybe but I still can’t place it because on paper it should be brilliant.
KLove’s shot is just waaaay off tonight
Smart foul by Miller. Can’t let Plumlee get the easy bucket and foul
Hush a block by Love
Garnett will make that shot every time if he’s uncontested.
It also amazes me how Deron Williams has just dropped off a cliff since he went to the Nets. It wasn’t that long ago that he looked like one of the best PGs in the league with Utah.
Don’t remind me is on my fantasy team.
Ouch. Sorry about that. He still gets good assists though
He was with milsap and boozer on those jazz teams right? That would have been to his benefit
The poll on who will come from out west was filler I think. Considering injuries and such the season at the quarter poll is not enough. Though every team listed is excellent. The healthy thunder is the one team who could make the playoffs and really upset anyone.
Agree on that. It really kind of doesn’t matter. The WC is so deep, and once again they’re all going to kill each other to get to the Finals. As long as Cavs get there, I think the season is a success.
Man looking at jacks stats brings back bad memories.
Yeah, he would have been way down the list on the 5 on 5 question about which Cav you’d like to have back.
I’m really glad Ben didn’t start Magic Mike against me this week in C:tFL
Cavs sharing the ball well (12 assists on 16 buckets) and, even better, being aggressive and getting to the line (16-19 already).
Icky end to the first half.
Not as icky as it could have been though.
Good news is they were on track to give up another 60+ point half and they tightened up the D and finally found a bit of a groove with their rotations.
Magic Mike Miller keeping them in the game on offense, so you’d think the big three will step up and take care of business in the third quarter.
Miller is killing it tonight. The offense is so out of sync…
Stop hero ball! Kyrie
Love just left his man there
I know he was fouled that time, but Andy seems to always get stripped going inside now.
Yeah he looked strong there. Down 11 to up 5
MUCH better D this quarter. Nets go from 33 point quarter to a 12. Keep it up fellas!
Now THAT was some vintage LBJ! Awesome crossover and dunk!
yeah that was sweet
Magic Mike LEADING ALL SCORERS!!
Mike Miller’s stroke is so soft
Miller and Ray Allen have a picture perfect release and follow through. Where is cols. the real one and not the trickster
MILLER TIME AGAIN!!! DUDE IS EN FUEGO!
Of course Karasev has his season and career high in points after just one half tonight. Predictable.
HOW does Andy NOT make that point blank shot. It’s starting to make me slightly sad to realize that Andy is no longer the Wild Thing he once was.
The bench did well and tied it up at 8 min mark . They were clicking. Would have liked them to play 1 more min. They would have gotten the lead. Moved the ball real well and the defense was much much better.
LOVED the D rotations on that previous play
KYRIE with the steal and the DUNK!!! Impressive!
wow that was a sick layup
Tristan getting boxed out like crazy right now
None of the big men seemingly doing that well tonight so far
Plumlee . Good thing he is in foul trouble now.
Nets finally going cold, but Cavs not taking advantage on the other end.
So glad they spent all of that time talking about golf… during a basketball game… in the middle of winter… in Ohio
Jeezus, Katie! What is this a 60 Minutes piece?? BACK TO THE GAME!
my wife was thinking the same thing – she thought I put something else on tv
I shoulda said Jeebus in honor of Cols
Wow, Dufner cut his hair off. His “Dufnering” pose worked so much better with the floppy hair.
Dion better be careful. He looks like he said something to the ref AGAIN. Oh by the way, Dion, when you GET the and one, you need to MAKE the and one.
MATRIX GLASS SMASHER rattles in!
Man that’s uglier than foot fungus, but as long as it goes in…
lol Dion. Nice and-1
Magic Mike must have been working on his shot while he was concussed
Yeah. Or riding the speed bike for cardio work. He looked gassed as soon as he checked in during his first week here
Great point! I’ll bet that’s actually the case
Dion for 3…..[drink]
I’d be an alcoholic if that were a real game…
Maybe THAT’s why Dion doesn’t shoot that many threes…
MILLER TIME AGAIN!!!!
That’s three on Plumlee. Good for Cavs
Have you guys ever seen someone watch the ball roll before they pick it up (like LBJ just did) and have it either go out of bounds, over the timeline or get stolen by the other team? Just seems like such an odd thing to do.
no but no one does that more than Rondo.
I hate the let it roll and pick it up to save .5 seconds move. It looks odd to me and one time they will fumble it and turn it over carelessly
Man, Kyrie’s shot is just broken right now. It doesn’t look that bad, just not going in.
MILLER IS A KILLER!!! (in a good way tonight)
Too bad Karasev didn’t play like this when he was in a Cavs uni
didn’t have many chances
Thanks to mike brown.
You’d think if he looked like this in practice though that he would have gotten a shot at more minutes
MILLER TIME
And here comes the barrage from the perimeter. Jeez
how many easy baskets do the Cavs give up because one guys stays under the hoop to complain? Per game? 3?
It’s already three tonight from what I saw. Everyone seems to love the “touchdown” passes KLove throws to LBJ, but most of the time it’s LeBron out in front of the break because he never ending up getting back on D and we lucked out.
Wow, that was an Alley-OOOOPSS! by the Nets
Alright, keeping it close with some better D and some fast breaks. Need to keep up the intensity into second
yeah they need to sustain the energy when the bench comes in
SMH at Kyrie. Why wouldn’t you just pass it up to LBJ for the easy transition bucket?
AC has a great point about the Cavs D. Just too much switching and running around expending energy. Why doesn’t Blatt have these guys just stay with their man and contest shots?
yeah there is a time for switching and a time to just get under the screen and contest. thought Kyrie did a nice job there on D Will
Wondering if the guys have the dedication to it. I think they are all capable but there are too many Matadors on this team
Have they always played the creepy Vincent Price laugh when the other team turns it over? So weird.
Too many inside passes allowed. At least Andy fouled Plumlee there (although it didn’t look like he needed to necessarily)
Curious if James jones gets 10 min tonight. If he and miller are splashing 3’s then love will get serious post looks in 3 and 4th quarters
MILLER TIME!!!! Magic Mike strikes again! Shot looks really strong tonight
If recent history holds, Cavs should now go on a pretty serious run (he writes hopefully)
I’d be interested in the ratio, but it certainly seems like for every KLove TD pass that’s successful, he has an equal amount that get “intercepted” by smart vets who are now expecting the TD pass.
Blatt might really want to start considering starting TT instead of Andy. Andy just looks slow and bad
Plumlee of course looking like an All-Star out there
MILLER TIME!!!!!
They STARTED Karasev?? And of course he hits a non-contested three.
Thanks for getting the thread going, Tom. I was about to post it, but I’m stuck in the flu capital of the western hemisphere, Northeast Ohio, and I’m in the epicenter.
Are you patient Zero, Nate?
Number one goal for tonight for Cavs: DO NOT let this become Brooklyn’s shot at a revenge blow out game.
Okay… I’ll be cliche and say it… “It’s MILLER time!”
Tom, this is your third straight game threat. You must be exhausted. You are the Madison Bumgarner of this Blog right now.
“I’m just getting lucky”
I don’t know if the adjective I would use is “lucky” but your sacrifice is appreciated!
