Cleveland is in L.A. again tonight, to take on the 26-13 Clippers this time. The Cavs will need Timofey Mozgov this game, to counter the force that is DeAndre Jordan. Last game, Jordan was dominant, with a 17 point 18 rebound performance. As many a commenter has noted, the Clips are strong where the Cavs are weak: at the rim, and behind the three point line. Let’s hope the Cavs are up to the challenge. Kevin Love is a game time decision, as is J.R. Smith who apparently “tweaked his back” in warmups. Tonight’s headline pic comes from EvilGenius, who’s bringing us luck from inside the Staples Center. Let’s go Cavs!

Win or lose . . . this iso-ball just isn’t fun to watch. (Of course, it generally means lose in today’s NBA)

Thompson is a better fit with Mozgov and/or LBJ than Love. I mean it as a compliment.

Oh and when Jordan misses free throws, the Clippers get the ball back. Since that happens ALL THE TIME, the Cavs are in trouble.

I would love to see us actually dribble drive for kick outs when real shooters are in the corners instead of Marion and delly. Mike miller is deadly from the corner. If he gets minutes that would open up the offense
When Miller sets up in the corner, he is routinely ignored.
Andy really covered for up a lot of sins.
Cavs have little margin for error, and the passes at Tristan and Timofey’s knees hurt.
Feel like Timofey needs to be out every minute that Jordan is out.
Love the way everyone but LeBron is playing.
LeBron makes three good plays and then just a dopey turnover or foul trying a high margin for error play. Just make the simple play.

Cavs don’t seem to be missing Love’s offense. But they’re taking a page out of the Penguin’s defensive book by just waving at three point shooters.

They’re running that downscreen for Reddick with DeAndre Jordan. They’re so afraid of him on the lob or the offensive rebound, that Tristan just can’t hedge to let the guard chasing Reddick to catch up. It’s deadly effective offense.

That’s the kind of play where I’d like to see an intentional foul call in the NBA. It wasn’t violent, but Barnes didn’t try to make a play on the ball.
