Live Thread: Cavs vs Clippers

Welcome to February. Â The groundhog saw his shadow (yawn), the Cavs have just 11 games this month (as opposed to 17 in January) and six of those games are on national TV starting tonight against the Clippers, a team that is described at any given time using phrases like “I just don’t like this team” and “don’t sleep on the Clippers”. Â No one seems to know how to properly rate the Clippers.
I guess the same can be said of the Cavs. Â We’ve all doubted their ceiling at various times this season, even as we’ve rejoiced in some overwhelming talent-fests. Â The 11-game streak, ironically enough, is the most steady basketball we’ve seen from the Cavs all season. Â Let’s hope that continues tonight.

This is how you play a good team on a road trip, come out strong and demoralize them early. Clips look disjointed and sluggish. Of course, I started watching after Rivers subbed in which probably doesn’t help them.
Delly is NOT going to win this jump ball… in the understatement of the year…
But that jump ball took them away from the basket and they couldn’t do anything before the end of the quarter. Still a nice play to tie him up and stop the flow.

That Mozzy slam was nice after grabbing the ball in stride on the attempted steal. And Love seems to have found a good rhythm early on. I agree with Barkley (WHAT?) that the jump hook got him started and hope he does that more after the first quarter.
