Live Thread: Cavs at 76ers

Fresh off a trip to the Horseshoe, yesterday, the Cavs are in the city of brotherly love today to take on the 6ers. The Cavs will be sans Iman Shumpert (hamstring) and Channing Frye (death in the family). Joel Embiid will take his NBA rookie of the year campaign against Tristan Thompson and the rest of the Cavs, as Embiid leads all rookies in points, rebounds, blocks, and three point percentage (I know, right?). Cleveland will have to bring it, as they have had a tendency to play down to the Sixers the last few years. Go Cavs!
Irving threw in an easy 35 points. No more complaining about him. Yep

When Philly gets Simmons healthy, they’ll improve. Bayless’ return will help some. I like Rodgriguez is a nice pure point. Still, guards and wings are their weak spots. If Noel is dealt, some help will come.

Love got the late call there. I think Philly is in pretty decent shape. Okafor and Saric aren’t stars. They are rotation level guys. Simmons is a star in the making and he’s hurt. Rodriguez is a nice player. As is Henderson.
Philly is in terrible shape. They’ve spent 4 years losing and all they have is One guy who still has a lot of developing to do.

Had it down to two (another JFJ three and one from Love) and promptly up to six again. When the 76ers don’t take quick shots, we can’t stop them.
It seems pretty apparent the Cavs give zero craps about this game. J.R. is like, I’m not usually even up yet.
On the one hand, J.R. has made one of his last 21 shots, which is…worse than Jordan McRae. On the other hand, I’m glad he, and the team, feel confident enough in him to let him keep chucking.

Thought the Cavs had their rhythm for a second. Give Philly credit for brining the fight.
For all the process, Philly has one player worth a crap. And if the Cavs or any other team had drafted him instead, they’d have nothing from all that process. Their coach is actually good, though.
We have to dig deep to win this one and I am not sure if the players and Lue care as much. It is also a game where the 3s aren’t falling and they are p[acking the paint. Let’s see if we have an answer for that.
