LeBron and Kyrie return to the fold for the Cavs, joining starters Tristan Thompson, Channing Frye, Iman Shumpert, and what’s left of his teeth. Meanwhile, James Johnson will sit for the Heat. He’s got three stitches in his elbow from Shump’s chompers, and the Heat want to avoid an infection. Tyler Johnson will join James on the bench due to “neck and shoulder soreness,” as reported by the Palm Beach Post’s Tom D’Angelo. Tyler has battled shoulder issues throughout his career and took some hard screens from Orlando and Cleveland over the weekend.
The Cavs will be without Tyronn Lue who called off sick for this one. They’ll be coached by Larry Drew.
Look for more fireworks after the late game dustups in Miami, but with one big difference. Andrew Bogut will be manning the middle for the first time off the bench for Cleveland . Let’s hope that he can counter Hassan Witeside who Cleveland had no answer for in South Beach. If ‘Drew can bring some much needed defense, it would be a boon. Cleveland is posting the worst defense in the NBA since the All-Star break, but have posted a top five offense to at least keep their record respectable. Maybe they take a bite out of the Heat.

Anyone watching on league pass? They just showed a highlights reel with commentators all in Spanish, who yelled La Flama Blanca when Korver drilled a three. Pretty great.
The Spanish announcer for the Cavs is actually quite awesome. His energy is off the charts.
I remember game 7 of the finals last year, I was driving home from the in-laws and caught the introductions for the players in the Spanish and it was awesome… man I still get goosebumps.
He detailed in such a suspenseful manner how the Cavs uniform, with the swords on them, signified the battle for supremacy they were about the endure. Man what a great intro…
The Warriors might have it worse than us. They are getting thoroughly outplayed again, by the Hawks no less, and have looked utterly disjointed without Durant.
I thought it looked like Bogut was saying “it’s okay it’s okay” not “it’s broken it’s broken”. But it didn’t look good so I’m praying for my version

I catch myself being so jealous of teams like the Heat playing so hard in random games in March and then I remember that we are playing just as hard and even harder in May and June and feel happy again.
Ha. I’m pretty happy rooting for the best team in the east.

I love your idea that the Cavs not defending the 3 (and they have been amongst the worst in the league all season) can be shrugged away as ‘variance’. I don’t believe you know what variance is.

How is Deron a minus defender? Maybe it’s the system the Cavs play on D? Immediately attack the guy when the Cavs are not playing up to their potential on purpose. It’s clear as day. Ill start worrying when they’re not in first place.

Love cannot come back soon enough, but with our injury luck this season I am not really confident he is going to be able to make it in time for the playoffs. He is a stabilizing force on the boards and on O.
