To say that the Cavs were hot last game would be an understatement. The Cavs were so hot that my eyes hurt looking at the first quarter stats. While I do not expect the team to start 10-of-10 on 3-pointers and shoot 69 percent from the field, I do expect a great game. Hayward has always loved playing against Lebron, and now that Hayward has emerged as a truly elite player, it should be a marquee game for him. The Jazz match up with the Cavs in all the right ways, with elite size and a skilled forward. Hopefully the Cavs can demonstrate that the early month losing streak was just a hiccup on the way to the 1st seed.
Update: Kevin Love will be making his return. Bring out the lil Kev.

I am not going to lie, and I know we just benefitted from it, but I detest the fake shot from three after contact and the lean in after the pump fake for fouls. They need to excise that from the game. It is so cheap.
Agree 100%. The lean in is an offensive foul & the other one should can still get called a foul, just not a shooting one.

When you’re giving up dunks to Gordon Hayward, you are losing.
Our offense is ugly.

Got to try to push the pace more. The Cavs are playing at their pace. The Jazz missed a lot of open shots. The Cavs have to hit first.

Joe Johnson looked good this quarter and Hayward didn’t even get going.

It might be frustrating but the Jazz are one of the best defensive teams in the league. Expecting a high scoring game against them is not a great bet. Then again we had some opportunities and wasted possessions.
They also average the slowest pace of any team in the league.
And as I say that. Silly foul on RJ. Two point game at half after we were up, what, 14 or 16 this quarter?
At least the D has beev good. They only have 40.

Yep, if someone could figure out a lebronless lineup with Kyrie and/or Love that consistently, meaning most games, have net positive or neutral plus minuses, this team would cake walk through the regular season.

Had a chance to KO them in the 2nd & they get right into it. Rudy if a force on D. We’ve missed (or turned down) 5-6 shots we’d normally make already. Plus the one he rejected on TT.
Irving is almost 50% on mid range jumpers. So for him that is an efficient shot.
He is 4 for 12 tonight. That is the complete opposite of efficiency. Not having a good game so far. Just a fact, nothing more.

ISO offense works because it’s so simple.
2-3 wasted possessions with wild jumpers that had very minimal chance of going in. Could be up more.
Love the Irving ISO early.
Our most efficient offense were the love cuts for easy layups.
