Playoff Live Thread: Cavs @ Celtics, Game 1

The Cavs open up the Eastern Conference Finals on the road in Boston tonight. After rolling through the first two rounds in just eight games, they come into this series favorites once again.
The Celtics have their best chance to win tonight. The Cavs are coming off of over a week of rest, and they may actually be rusty. Or, and this may very well be the case, LeBron James will be at full strength and ready to completely make the Celts go into a full on “we’re not good enough as is with our super short super fun point guard, Isaiah Thomas” rebuild.
I’m picking the Cavs to win 107-98.

Solid offensive start from the Cavs but got to fix the defense a little bit. They are showing to many open shots from the Celtics.

Cavs couldn’t hit 3s but up double digits already….Lebron doing whatever he wants and quite frankly 3 of his layups were And -1s……IThomas looks off in this game…loved olynk grabbing TTs arm so blatantly even Reggie Miller thought it was stupid….solid start to say the least…gotta make sure bench steps up and we are still strong w/o Lebron

I think tonight will be closest game of the series. Cavs will be rusty, fall behind early. Second unit will need to provide some help. Then Lebron and Kyrie will make a push in the fourth, and Cavs will edge this one out in the last two minutes of the game.
Hopefully Kyrie isn’t in his usual game 3 road game funks in this opening game 1.

think IT Bradley along with Horford may be favorite Celtics for Boston fans; doubt they like anyone else like Olynk and Smart and Crowder

have had general sense of confidence going into this series will it reminds me of the Cavs-Hawks ECF from two years ago….and I think the same thing will happen again. The Celtics have played nobody like the Cavs and it took them 7 games to knock of a Wizards team with no bench and 2 good players playing 45 min per game. Its possible this game starts a bit rough but then Cavs break it open and run away with it. I’m trying to think of anyone on the Cavs that might be rattled by the (first-pick-fueled) raucous crowd… I think our veteran squad will hold up.
