Live Thread: Cavs @ Nets

The Cavs have traversed to the banks of the East River to take on the Brooklyn Nets in yet another nationally televised primetime showcase. The Nets are hanging on for dear life of the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference, and the Cavs are trying to wrap up the fourth seed and secure home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. The stakes are high and the Cavs welcome back Jarrett Allen from his eye injury:

Who are the Brooklyn Nets post-KD trade? Not very good, especially on offense. They are ranked 28th in the NBA in offensive rating post-All Star break. Their defense has also taken a hit as well, now a middling defense. They are also ranked 30th in the NBA in defensive and offensive rebound rate. Simply put, they stink. Much like the Heat series, a split at the minimum should be expected, and frankly any loss against this squad should be considered a bad loss. The great teams take care of business, we’ll find out about how great the Cavs are as we come down the stretch.
