Live Thread: Knicks @ Cavs

Good evening and Happy Halloween CtB!

Tonight the Cavs welcome the New York Knicks to the shores of Lake Erie for a primetime re-match between two Eastern Conference playoff teams from last season. The Knicks completely dominated the Cavs in spite of their anemic offense by crashing the glass and bottling up Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland. The Max Strus and Georges Niang additions were a direct response to that ass-whooping, but it has yet to pay off for the Cavs as they stumble out of the gates with a 1-2 record. Of course, the Cavs are missing at least 40% of their starting lineup with Jarrett Allen and Darius Garland out, and to add to that the backup point guard Ty Jerome is also out. It’s also been reported that Caris LeVert and Donovan Mitchell are game time decisions, although it’s hard to see Spida missing out on some primetime action against his hometown team.

BREAKING:

Let’s hope Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley can pull off MVP-level performances tonight, or else the Cavs will drop their third straight game. Tip off is scheduled for 7:30PM Eastern time and will be nationally broadcasted live on TNT, Go Cavs!
