Live Thread: Celtics @ Cavs

The Cavs welcome the Boston Celtics to the banks of the Cuyahoga River for one of the biggest games of the season for both teams. It’s all hands on deck for Boston, this is the game they can shut down all the negative noise about their midseason lull… we will get a championship level effort from the Celtics. Can the Cavs respond and protect home court? Do they lose and the fraud indictments come hard and fast….??? It’s TNT, prime time, all eyes on Cleveland… nothing more needs to be said.
Tip off is scheduled for 7:30PM Eastern time and will broadcasted live nationally on TNT. Go Cavs!

Mobley’s +/- stands out (in a bad way) among the starters, but I missed Q1, didn’t see a lot of his minutes.
completely out of rhythm and zero impact defensviely….. it’s strikes me as completely accurate reflection of his first half play.
Garland was awful that half. Just awful. No one was as bad as Niang, but garland clearly in his own head. Niang though. Just unplayable against good teams.
Caris had a terrible stretch too, but I blame it on sharing the floor with Niang.
10 point game, I’ll take it. Not pretty but they fought back. Boston is playing good D. They’re not the Mavs.

Wtf are they doing. They don’t play for last shot. No one doubles brown when he’s got garland on him with less than 5 seconds. Just don’t even have their heads in the game.

I really don’t understand the reluctance to play him, given the number of wings who’ve been sidelined for almost every game so far. Try to force feed his growth, bc it’s clear they need a playable wing with his size and rebounding potential.
Total cowardice cuz it’s a big game… unless Jaylon was late for a meeting or shoot around.

Cavs 2 assists… LMFAOOO not moving the ball enough and getting outrebounded. Soft, no physicality, no energy, no edge.

Aside from Spida, I don’t trust anyone’s offense. Zinger blocks a couple, and we are totally perimeter.
Focus on righting the ship. Try to get it to ten by the half. Good character test for us.

They are getting Grimes & a 2nd (their own back) from Dallas.

Probably would take some combo of Wade, LeVert, Okoro, Niang, or Strus.
Hunter is a $20+ mil cap hit the next 3 years. I don’t love that value.
