Live Thread: Knicks @ Cavs (or, Magic Number – 4)

The Cavs welcome Eastern Conference arch-nemesis New York Knicks to the banks of the Cuyahoga River for a prime-time, nationally televised showcase. The Cavs are looking to clinch the top seed in the East, and their magic number is four. They are also looking to improve their defense and rebounding heading into the playoffs as told by Coach Kenny Atkinson. Both will take a hit with Dean Wade’s absence (out with illness). Will KA unglue Javonte “Woo” Green or Jaylon Tyson off the bench? Stay tuned…
As for the Knicks, they are not only surviving without Jalen Brunson, but some might say thriving given how much the defense has improved in Brunson’s absence. They’ve returned back to their roots during this recent stretch: defense, rebounding, and ugly but gritty offense. Luckily, they’re virtually locked into the third seed, so the Cavs can’t see them until the Eastern Conference Finals. Have fun Boston!
Tip off is scheduled for 7:00PM Eastern time and will be broadcasted nationally on ESPN, Go Cavs!

I feel like since the losing streak, when his man would pull up for threes regularly, seems like he hasn’t been able to regain his floor equilibrium and just doesn’t seem positioned to make plays like he did earlier in the season. Or it’s march and he’s tired.
