Live Thread: Cavs at Bulls
2014-10-31The Cavs look to rebound from their discombobulated opening game. They face a formidable Chicago team that may prove to be a conference rival for the foreseeable future. David Blatt thought he did a poor job of utilizing his bench in game 1. We’ll see how he and the rest of the team responds tonight. Catch it on ESPN.
Sound off here throughout the game!
On track for Cols’ prediction: 80-2.
They just showed the highlights during halftime of Lakers/Clips. Good interview with LBJ after the game. Also fun to see him jump on KLove’s back after the victory (didn’t see it during initial broadcast).
Also didn’t realize this was Bulls first home opener loss since 2007. Sweet!
I am joining the group of people confused by LeBron. I think there is going to be news coming out that he is injured. Something is wrong physically with him. He cannot even get to the rim right now. He literally could not get to the rim against Dunleavy. He has to be injured. The other possibility is that he is just completely out of basketball shape. But he has zero explosiveness right now.
Maybe it’s the weight loss. He was so lean, most of what he lost had to be muscle. Don’t know if that would be enough to explain it.
It’s weird that he asked to be taken out of the game twice tonight. Like he was just out of shape or gassed. He made a comment earlier in the day about how he needs his reps and that with the craziness of the summer he didn’t get his usual practice time in. Hard to say, but agree that the explosiveness just isn’t there.
Matt forget those announcers. Awesome night for TT. We all knew TT would blow up with these studs around him. The FT shooting really adds the dimension he needed. Good win.
that first free throw was such a soft shooters roll!
He’s valuable right now, and call me crazy, but I think one of these years he’s going to develop into a decent Haslem-like midrange shooter. His technique is good; he needs reps and confidence and good shot selection. He has to stay away from the 12-foot runners and wild tosses.
Kevin Pelton tweeted out that he could be this team’s Dennis Rodman…
Odd that the announcers are hating on TT for 1def rebound. What if someone else like love or Andy got it because he boxed out?
