Live Thread: Cavs vs Clippers

Welcome to February. The groundhog saw his shadow (yawn), the Cavs have just 11 games this month (as opposed to 17 in January) and six of those games are on national TV starting tonight against the Clippers, a team that is described at any given time using phrases like “I just don’t like this team” and “don’t sleep on the Clippers”. No one seems to know how to properly rate the Clippers.
I guess the same can be said of the Cavs. We’ve all doubted their ceiling at various times this season, even as we’ve rejoiced in some overwhelming talent-fests. The 11-game streak, ironically enough, is the most steady basketball we’ve seen from the Cavs all season. Let’s hope that continues tonight.
Do me a favor and give my interview with Mark Neal a listen (during halftime or commercial breaks). It’s probably the 7th or 8th most intelligent NBA analysis you’ll hear today!

Are the shows that good? I tried to watch it once with her and I got yelled at because I got 75% of upcoming lines right. Like the scripts were mailed in. The eye candy is impressive though.

Cavs shot blistering 60%… Clips held to 42% and without Crawford it would be brutal
cannot overvalue Kevin love forcing himself to post up deep in the paint…and clearly they worked on giving him extra space when he does (one of his read btw the lines complaints)
Had the cavs on in background while cleaning and cooking in kitchen. Guess. The clippers bigs are frustrated by cavs interior defense. That includes love.
Love has 16pts 8 rebounds and banging with Griffin down low, making his offense tough. All you could ask for.
So, just got in and sounds like I missed more highlights than TNT can possibly cram into halftime.

Totally agree… getting rid of Bullock and Dudley were mistakes. They were both shooters who could spread the floor.

I didn’t expect us to turn it around defensively this fast. They have been tremendous during the win streak.
What a half!!! Most impressed with their defense against one of the best offensive teams in the league. Worried about coming out flat, I hope they start off the 3rd with the same energy…. get Love going again should prevent a letdown.

I haven’t watched the Clips much this season, they seem poorly constructed for such a good team.
They’re not usually this bad… Shows you how good the Cavs D is playing tonight…
They’ve regressed…. Griffin’s fallen in love with the jumper. Lost Dudley who was a 3pt specialist. Defense has regressed. They’re still the top offensive team in the league, but the Cavs have been bullying them and they hate it.
They DESTROYED the Spurs just a couple of games ago in SA… Cavs are just this good

Cavs complimenting each other so well today. TT and Delly bringing the energy, LeBron and Kyrie providing the sparks, playing off the ball. K Love and JR filling it up from outside. Moz diving. Shump defending. This is a great half
