Live Thread: Cavs vs. Wolves (#HungryLikeTheWolves)

If there’s one thing the Cavs are not these days… it’s hungry. At least they don’t act that way. Well, the young and very hungry TimberWolves are waiting for them tonight at the Q… looking to devour what’s left of the reigning Eastern Conference champs after they got gunned down by the Magic in Orlando last night. The last time the two teams met, Minnesota crushed the Cavs 127-99 on January 8th at the Target Center, and things haven’t really improved for the wine & gold since. Cleveland is also 0-8 on nationally televised games since Christmas… and of course, this game is the featured one on ESPN (so much for LeBron suggestion).

I’d like to believe that the Cavs will be competitive, especially since they still own a 19-7 home record. But, my instincts tell me they’re once again going to be lambs for the slaughter. Who knows, with any luck this will be the last time we see a few of these guys in a Cavs uniform with the trade deadline looming.

Prediction: The young Wolves make a meal out of LeBron, IT and co… leading the pack to a 124-109 feeding frenzy.

There’s always hope that tomorrow will bring at least some new faces to root for, and allow us to say goodbye (and good riddance) to a few others.
