Welcome to Vegas, peeps! The summer Cavs (some some aren’t) debut tonight. Colin Sexton, Ante Zizic, John Holland, Okaro White, and Cedi Osman join undrafted free agents Dakota Mathias, Billy Preston, and a host of hopefuls like Scoochie Smith as they take on Sam Cassell Jr., Troy Brown Jr., and the aptly named Phillip Scrubb. I’ve liked what I’ve seen from Preston/Zizic/Cedi/Sexton so far. Cedi is ice cold but he just got done shooting those short FIBA 3s. I liked Preston jumping the passing lanes a few times there and he clearly has some offensive ability. Zizic still Zizic-ing. It’s gonna take Sexton some time to figure out NBA length and strength at the rim, but I thought his passing has been pretty great and I think he’s been adjusting quickly as the game has progressed.
Holland, Sexton, Cedi, and Okra all have 1 or 0 FGs and we are up 12.

Good half… perimeter shooting sucks, but defense is incredible and they’re taking care of the ball on offense (outside of Holland).
Up 12 shooting 31% FG and 21% from deep. Aaah, summer league.
Love the Cedi/Zizik chemistry

Cedi needs to get that three down, catch and shoot and off picks…he needs to shoot 3,000 of those a day…

According to nba.com, Ziziz is a PG, Holland a PF, White a C, and Sexton a SG. That is quality stuff there.
Listening to Fisher reminds me of how annoying he was as a Laker…

Right now we have 12 guys under contract, counting Perk & White but not Hood. Take out Perk and add Hood = still at 12.
Basically that is 5 spots open for summer league types (3 roster & 2 two-way). Six if White isn’t in the top 3. We could see a lot of these guys this year.
Cavs have stolen three defensive rebounds from each other already.
