From Distance: C:tV Playoffs Shorty 2019-04-19 Off By Ben Werth I did this one Isaiah Thomas style: short, jerky, relatively ineffective, and potentially a target for mockery. If you want a foggy tour around the Playoffs in under five minutes, here she be. Podcast 201: Who’s In Charge? Podcast 202: First Round of the Off Season
Did you guys hear what Klay Thompson said? That they have to win by 30 in LA? The last time Klay was so disrespectful in the playoffs didn’t end so well. I would advise him to be more humble.
I dislike tthe Wariors with a passion. Bunch of weak minded players who were lucky to land together.
I only like Steph, though maybe I respect him more than I like him. I hate Durant, I despise Klay and I certainly can’t stand Draymond. I also don’t like Andre ‘I have never committed a single foul in my life’ Iguodala. It is him that has made that team truly special. People forget that Iguodala was a perennial All-star and for the last 5 years he is OK coming off the bench and forfeiting any chance at the spotlight. That is how all time teams are made.
Really surprised the Warriors sort of conceded that down 6 with 38 or so seconds? That game is still winnable. Maybe they thought they’ll win next game – maybe, but that kind of thinking has bit teams in the a$$ before…
Yep. Dangerous game they are playing.
Sweet Lou dicing up the Dubs…
He is killing us.
I really have zero idea who wins the ship this year. Warriors seem shallow and not as hungry. I could see any number of teams taking the trophy. Haven’t felt that way for quite some time.
It will be golden state. They’re just bored right now.
Bored can be a killer though.
Good game from Utah, but to no avail. Mitchell needed to have a great game. O’Neale does a heck of a job on the Bearded Turd, though.
Round two is going to be nuts.
I cant stop watching highlights of that Lillard shot… actually reminds me of a dagger three Kyrie hit against Portland when he was still on the Cavs.
IIRC, that was a 50+ game for Kyrie and he just dribbled the clock down until you knew he was going to step into a long 3 and had no doubts it was going in.
Good for Portland, I’ll be rooting for them in the West. I think they match up well against the Nuggets and have no doubts they would beat the Spurs.
The way he moved his eyes before the shot so as not to give away what he was going to do was what I liked best. Like a quarterback looking off a receiver or a tennis player not giving away which corner he’s going to target.
I thought this was a really good article/ analysis of Coby White as a draft prospect, from CanisHoopus.

Spot on IMO…. age is a big thing that’s forgotten… only 19, will turn 20 next February.

If PG had made those two FTs earlier rather than missed both, maybe the Thunder are up two. and he can guard Dame close without fearing the drive by as much. Nothing you can do but shake Lillard’s hand after that shot.
Which is part of the reason there are so many rip through fouls.
Very clever observations, except for the fact that everybody challenges with their strong hand.
Also, per Goldsberry of ESPN Lillard hits 39% from 30 to 40 feet (in 51 attempts). Far from a bad shot if you ask me. He had made at least 4 more same shots in this series alone.
You SHOULD learn to challenge with either hand. I did when I played. Real good defenders will.
The shot clock awareness is a thing. Pretty clear he was going to launch way deep when it gets to like three seconds. But a hell of a shot. Reminds me of the 40 footer curry drained to beat okc that last Durant year.
Worth watching in all it’s glory, but particularly for the PG exit cam (top left).
