2021-04-10As the Cavs are rounding into form and playing their best basketball of the season, its interesting to see their opponents embracing the tank. While the Cavs are missing Windler, Nance, and Allen, the Raps injury list is… extensive.
The Cavs might be missing Jarrett Allen but the Raptors injury Report is a whole other beast. They'll be without:
Pascal Siakam
Fred Vanvleet
Paul Watson
Jalen Harris
And Kyle Lowry and Rodney Hood are questionable.

Trent also better 3 point shooter, Sexton’s minutes point in his favor though, but Trent same age, and IMO, more upside…. Masai stole him from Portland, dumb trade Portland.
Minutes matter. As does team. I don’t mind plus minus for comparisons within teams. But comparing guys with different roles and hugely different minutes between teams that are wildly different in talent… well don’t think that works too well.
they don’t have different roles though, they’re both in scoring roles…. Sexton’s just benefiting from a shit ton of minutes and usage that grossly inflates his counting stats.
They have for a career and sexton scores way more efficiently at least this year if you’re going to say Trent is also in a primary option role. Also Trent isn’t a primary option. Also usually when usage and role goes up efficiency goes down.

that’s fine, I’m still confident in saying Trent > Sexton, and I think the data supports the argument.. when you start looking at context and comparative data (per36, per100).
This year he doesn’t. What matter is now. 58 to 54. And again bench option versus starters. Per 36 and per 100 for bench guy versus starter and essentially primary option.
I don’t like comparing bench versus starters on different teams with wildly different talents. Don’t think it translates 1 to 1 well at all.
Fair enough, I think at least Trent will get his chance now in Toronto.

I wasn’t too excited after last game just because of the players we were playing against. Sqme for the spurs. We did blow okc out, but basically there was no excuse not to. Did what they were supposed to do against development guys and rookies as an nba team fielding nba players. I sort of figured something like this would happen.
