Live Thread: Cavs @ Nets
2021-11-17Good evening CtB!
Tonight the Cavs take a trip down Atlantic Avenue in the New York borough of Brooklyn to take on the Nets, who are licking their wounds after a humiliating defeat at the hands of Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors last night on national television. Surely the Nets see this game against the wounded Cavs as a way to bounce back and get the foul taste of last night out of their mouths. For the Cavs, they’re trying to keep their heads above water until half of their regular rotation is available to play. It will be a minor miracle if they can keep this game in single digits (Cavs are a +9.5 underdog at the time of writing).
#Cavs Kevin Love is currently listed as PROBABLE for tonight’s game here in Brooklyn.

In a bit of good news, it sounds like the Cavs should at least get NBA champion Kevin Love back into the rotation. He can be a substantial boost to the Cavs’ struggling offense. The Nets are missing a few pieces of their own, including former Cavs Kyrie Irving and “Smokin'” Joe Harris. They could also be missing a pair of big men in Paul Millsap and Nic Claxton.
Taking in consideration last night’s performance, the Nets’ defense is vulnerable to rim pressure and rebounding. Unfortunately for the Cavs, they are missing three out of their four rotation bigs. The Cavs will probably have to compensate for the lack of size by launching threes and hitting them at the rate they did against the Celtics Monday night to have a chance to eek out an upset. Hopefully, the fans will see DG and Rubio getting to the rim frequently and spraying out to open shooters and they’re knocking the three ball down. Above all, hopefully the string of bad luck with respect to injuries is over… GO CAVS!
recap up!
No quit in this cavs squad…they got so close with basically no real center all game. Against Aldridge and Durant you can’t have non good center.
Celtics and Lakers lose, so there is that.
