Live Thread: Cavs @ Hawks

The Cavs have traveled south to the Georgia Piedmont to take on the Atlanta Hawks to complete their home and away back to back. The Hawks are fighting for an outside chance at the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference and have just fired their coach Nate McMillan. The Cavs are looking to end their two game losing skid and keep pace among the elite of the East. The Hawks will be without John Collins, and the Cavs should be all hands on deck.
Who are the Hawks statistically? Kind of stinky… they don’t rebound well defensively and are a bottom 10 defense in the NBA, don’t shoot well or pass the ball at all, but they do manufacture points by pushing the pace. So the Cavs would do well to control the pace on offense and crash the glass, and just play solid straight up defense and rebound the misses.
Tip off is scheduled for 7:30PM Eastern time and will be broadcasted live on Bally Sports Ohio/Great Lakes, Go Cavs!

Doubt there’s any impact. It’s not like he was playing. This one is more one of Mitchell’s games where he couldn’t make a shot, and the defense completely collapsing in the 2nd quarter. Yeah, the Hawks were making every shot in that stretch, they were also getting loads of easy shots, many of them just dunks.

The math has consistently said the team’s underperforming. Easy to figure the Cavs out when they start 3 non-shooters, buyout one of their best spot up shooters to play even more non-shooters.

As a fan, I want the Cavs to win almost all games.. especially against these Hawks that kicked out us of the play-in.
