We’ve officially come full circle ladies and gentlemen. It was the Celtics of Boston beating the Cavs in game 6 of the 2010 playoffs that led to LeBron tearing off his Cavs jersey, his subsequent decision to create the collusion three and a drastic spike on whiskey consumption in the Hughey household  over the past four years. The franchises are the same, but nearly every face has 
changed. Not one Celtic from that game is still on their roster and the only current Cavs from that contest are LeBron James and Anderson Varejao (sigh). If you are lucky enough to attend todays game, and you still have a voice tomorrow, you didn’t deserve to go in the first place. Â After 1,802 days, playoff basketball is back in Cleveland. Do you feel how I feel, when we go to the land of believe?

I have many work colleagues in the 34-50 age range who thought that karate kid was only made famous after the fact. They are nuts but sweep the leg was a common joke when I was a teen.

The old guys getting it done at the end of that quarter… JFJ with five huge points (two to stop the Celtic run and three to beat the buzzer), and The Matrix coming out of nowhere to steal the ball twice on one possession!
And neither of JFJ’s hoops were catch-and-shoot 3’s. He had to create the shot both times.
So easy. I expect the first two series to look mainly like this.

This is the weirdest first playoff game…weird refs, weird pace, I guess it’s good that we’re starting to pull away while playing fairly poorly, but it almost feels dream-like
