Live Thread: Grizzlies @ Cavs

The Cavaliers conclude their four game homestand tonight when the Memphis Grizzlies come to town. While the Grizz sport a very respectable record of 37-25, good for fifth in the Western Conference, they aren’t quite the Grit & Grind squad of the past few seasons. Despite their winning record, the Grizzlies have negative point differential on the season, meaning they are likely not as good as their record indicates. They have lost Marc Gasol for the season, traded away Jeff Green and Courtney Lee, and are without Mike Conley and Chris Andersen tonight. Although they are 7-3 over their last ten games, they’ve lost twice to the dreadful Phoenix Suns during that stretch, including yesterday afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Cavaliers have won the first three games of their homestand, including an impressive come-from-behind-turned-blowout win over the Boston Celtics Saturday night. For the most part the team is healthy, and seemingly (hopefully?) focused on earning the top seed in the Eastern Conference and preparing for the playoffs. They’ve also played extremely well against the Grizzlies since LeBron James returned to Cleveland, winning all three of the previous matchups by an average of 22 points.

Absolutely no heart until they were down 10 in the 4th. Best comment from Griffin is the team does not do well with prosperity. Lue has made no difference in the player’s attitude. This lack of character against the woefully undermanned Grizzlies was shameful.
Another stupid ass loss because of turnovers, more bad shooting. What the hell was up with the Refs on Delly tonight? Did he go out with one of their daughters?? Or was it more Chalmers greased the palms? Idk It sucked all together!
Delly’s got a reputation now.
I know that was circulated earlier in the season. Didn’t really see it from the refs too too much. Tonight was over the top. But it wasn’t the sole reason they lost. I need a shooter!! (alcohol wise)
I mean this is still the same awesome team that is the number one seed and just blew away everyone for a week.
Last year they blew away everybody for THREE MONTHS heading into the playoffs. This year you’re hanging your hat on a three-game winning streak.

Every time they lose I say I am done watching and then I remember there is nothing else going on in my life. That’s why this is so frustrating. I have nothing else better to do with my time.

Just frustrating that they clearly don’t care. Why not go play hard for 3 quarters and then rest in the 4th quarter because you’re up 25?

Thats what happens when Delly/JR go 3 for 17 with 1 FT to their credit. Kyrie had a rough night on D but if those 2 convert any better its a win. It’s a make or miss league as everyone here repeatedly says.

Nah, because the GSW loss mattered. That loss showed how high their ceiling is compared to ours. This loss was bad though, if only because the only part of the regular season that contenders really need to actually care about a ton is March through April.
