The Cavs disposed of the Raptors in Toronto and now they get a chance to play the Celtics, the other team oft-mentioned as one of the few that could challenge the Cavs’ supremacy in the East.
The Celtics are a little banged up right now. Â Olynyk is for a few more games after recovering from offseason shoulder surgery (ironically enough). Â Al Horford might be out because of a concussion and Gerald Green and Jae Crowder are nursing tender ankles.
The Cavs are spreading and firing all over the court. Â They lead the NBA in 3-pointers so far this season. Â We’ll see if they attack the Celtics’ interior without Horford. Â We should see a ton of former Cavalier Tyler Zeller tonight.

this is one of those games where LeBron has EVERYTHING going.
Off topic, way too early, but Pacers are playing below what I expect. To be honest I saw them as the 2nd-3rd best team in the east coming into this season. Nate McMillan isn’t creative enough for an offense suited for these guys. And they want to run apparently.. Almost no communication from the games I saw.
Meanwhile, Hill is killing it for the Jazz. The Pacers lost that trade. Yeah, think McMillen is a good assistant but people forget how awful his team was in Portland. Same thing with Alvin Gentry. Some guys just aren’t great head coaches.
Mike Brown, Alvin Gentry, John Kuester.. those guys. Specialist but ain’t great enough to be head coaches. I take Mike D’Antoni as an exception even though he doesn’t give a $h*t on defense

I wouldn’t underestimate them too much. They have some talent and are scrappy as hell. They could make life difficult for any team in a series. The Cavs’s ceiling is so much higher though

I’m impressed with the Celtics – they got hit in the mouth by the Cavs and are short handed but they’re executing their offense and starting to gum up the works on the Cavs. Cavs are going to have to bear down to win this game.
