Live Thread: Cavs vs Hornets

Tonight the 11-7 Cavaliers face off against the 8-9 Charlotte Hornets. Cleveland is riding a six game win streak and beat the Hornets on the 15th 115-107 in their last meeting. LeBron and company tend to bring the heat when going up against MJ’s team. It’s as if James wants to give Michael a first hand view of the new king of the NBA.
In their last several outings Cleveland has seemingly turned things around, aided by superb outings by several contributors. Korver is back to shooting lights out as his shooting percentages in the 4th quarter in particular have been nothing short of astounding. Jeff Green has been surprising and the team is performing much better as a whole.
Charlotte, on the other hand, followed up a six-game losing streak with their current three straight wins. Batum is questionable tonight after reinjuring his elbow. For the Cavs, Shumpert is still nursing a nagging injury while Derrick Rose is reportedly away from the team and evaluating his future in the NBA. Cleveland should have no trouble dispersing the Hornet’s nest tonight. Go Cavs!
I don’t feel any of our current uni’s at all.
Should’ve stick with last year’s and just made a black version of it. The only thread i don’t like on that series are the yellow ones, so McDonald’s in my opinion. Last year’s Christmas jerseys are fire!
We could’ve started a great tradition on those uniforms. This current threads are so early 2000-ish.
I don’t like the Nike colors. A little too red and not enough wine. Too yellow & not enough mustard.
More a fan of the yellow jersey throwbacks, or the wine ones. Do like the throwback oranges as well. Blues are the worst. I guess a like the blacks more than the whites but both kind meh.
Really liked these black jerseys. Favorite jerseys since 2016 Christmas and Lebron 1.0 era navy blues.

We still have a ways to go. But we are pulling these out instead of losing them.
Also missing an all-nba 2nd teamer. At Philly is going to be a challenge with all that size.
I was expecting to like Crowder a lot more than I do so far. I thought he’d be a scrappier rebounder, more effective on D, and a better shooter. I’m seeing a lot of missed wide-open threes, and a general lack of aggression.
I’m pretty sure he’ll figure out his role and improve over the year, but early returns are underwhelming.

Asking him to check Howard a lot tonight was big ask. Took his legs, I suspect. Was hitting shots early but not in the second half.
In general, he is not a great rebounder. In line with a 2-3 more than a combo forward.

Walker was awful too
Cavs doubled him relentlessly though… having Batum’s shooting would have helped them…
