Well… LeBron James is gone. Again.
To process this new reality… Nate, Tom, Eli and EG commiserated in the podcast booth. We discuss why we think it happened, who’s to blame, whether it was a basketball or lifestyle move, if the Lakers are now contenders, what happens now with the future of the Cavs, and how this move affects LeBron’s ultimate legacy. So, all in all a pretty cheery listen. In all seriousness though, here’s hoping listening to us vent a little might help you all with your own venting process… and be a reminder to cherish the good times.
As always, you can catch us above, on Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts or Google Play.
And, as always GO CAVS!
Simmons nice defensive play… Memphis needed that.
Niang great defense and block on Carter!!!
Jevon Carter with a beautiful PnR pass!!! easy bucket!
Fantastic post move by JJJ!!! Best he’s looked inside! Needs to do it more!
JJJ with much better activity on the defensive end than last night IMO.
nice pass Selden.
Nice curl cut by JJJ, nice moves, but didn’t finish strong at the rim…. and compounds error with foul.
Selden has also had a solid game…. a forgotten name from Kansas.
Simmons with two solid games in a row….. Carter, JJJ, Simmons been the best they have these past two games.
Niang has improved since last year…. just rebounded and ran the break to perfection there.
NIANG FOR THREE!!! 20 point comeback! down to single digits.
I like how JJJ doesn’t really force anything on offense… plays controlled. Sometimes a little too passive and floats on the perimeter.
Niang with a nice outlet pass!
That was bad, gotta get that rebound JJJ!
Great on ball defense by Carter… Nice pick and roll by Bradley, draws the foul. JJJ a little late on the weakside, gets the goaltending call. He needs to hunt for more blocks earlier, jumped out of the gym right there.
OOOH, Nice recovery and dish by Carter!
Nice help contest from JJJ and rebound. NIANG WITH THE FINISH OVER JJJ!
Bradley with a nice contest, looked like a bad call.
Nice aggression from JJJ in the post, draws the foul.
Bradley with the block! Jevon Carter misses a wide open JJJ for three.
JJJ misses putback, but better activity on the boards tonight
Nice pass Niang!
IT and Orlando seem like a match made in heaven
Nice defense Bradley, nice pass Niang!
I did LOL.

I saw this, too, and just about lost it
Nice couple of finishes by Bradley! Nice post defense there too!
Gah this draft is so good. Hawks. Gonna end up looking like idiots.
I don’t think so… Young’s gonna need some time to adjust, but his passing is really good. Haven’t seen Huerter yet cuz he’s injured, Spellman looks great for last pick of the 1st round.
JJJ with the rare finish inside, nice block on defense!!! He’s getting warmed up!
Nice deny defense by JJJ, couldn’t finish with the drive again…. needs to work on left hand finishes around the rim.
Jjj gonna be able to fall out of bed and score 20
Nice chase rebound JJJ, Nice drive and dish by Carter…. leads to easy basket for the big.
JJJ misses that one, looked contested.
JJJ with another wide open 3!!! He doesn’t miss when he’s wide open.
Jevon Carter with the transition basket. Tony Bradley schools JJJ on the block, nice finish by Bradley.
JJJ with a nice drive, but couldn’t finish.
Niang with the finish in the paint!
Niang with the open 3!
JJJ open corner three!!!
His shot doesn’t look pretty, but man it gets the job done!
Bradley with a nice offensive rebound, misses the open floater putback.
Nice move Simmons.
He was lowkey good last night.
JJJ with a tough time guarding on the perimeter… gives up the open J.
Carter misses a wide open three.
Nice offensive rebound by JJJ, but goes up weak on the putback… gets blocked.
Jevon Carter comes out with tough on ball defense and a near steal.
Tony Bradley and George Niang to watch for Utah, Jevon Carter and JJJ to watch for Memphis.
Let’s see if J jax Jr can repeat yesterday’s performance.
Yup… tuned for it! Saw enough of Mo Wagner last night to see he’s going to be good, or at least decent.
Dammit, no Grayson Allen tonight. Played a good game last night.
Derrick White is going to make a leap this year for the Spurs…. also, Metu and Brimah are both nice long term projects for the Spurs. Lonnie Walker with the night off.
Spellman, started off slow, came on strong at the end. I could say the same for Trae Young…. fewer bad shots, more consistent playmaking.
Trae Young with a nice oop pass
Trae Young vision getting better…. fantastic cross court pass for a three!
Out of a PnR situation.
Metu misses an open 3…. but apparently he’s willing to shoot it.
Brimah with a nice contest…. got called for a foul, but looked like he went straight up.
TRAE YOUNG FANTASTIC PICK POCKET AND REVERSE LAYUP FINISH!!! On Derrick White no less!
BRIMAH MIDRANGE SWISH! Big time products showing out!
Spellman great defense! Brimah nice putback, TRAE YOUNG FANCY FINISH!!!
SPELLMAN BACK TO BACK THREES!!!
Spellman pick and pop for three!!!! Nice read Trae Young!
Spellman can be special on defense…. nice contest against White. Another nice contest on a big and fights for a tough rebound!!!
Trae Young with a fantastic finish at the end of the shot clock!!!
Trae Young with a fantastic pass to Spellman, Spellman can’t convert. Spellman gets a nice rebound and outlet on the other end.
METU WITH A THREE AT THE BUZZER!!! WOW… a big man who can shoot!
Young finally gets a floater to go.
Metu from USC has not looked bad. Best big in this game tonight. Nice 2nd round pick by Spurs potentially. Long, athletic, tough.
Spellman needs to work on three things in order to be a great piece: conditioning, reps in the gym for the jumper, and learning to finish the left hand. His jumper looks good, but he doesn’t make contested shots.
SWEET STEAL SPELLMAN!!! Pick pocket and breakaway dunk on a guard!!!
Spellman showing good lateral movement on defense with his show on the pick and roll on White.
Also good understanding of cutting off the driving angle.
Perrantes looking competent? Spurs must have actual plays.
He does….. not a negative. Made a three, made a sweet pass in transition for an easy layup… running team not incompetently.
Hey, if Joe Harris can do it …
2nd block I’ve seen on a Trae Young floater in the lane.
Oof… Trae Young now a combined 5-28 to start the Summer League…
I’d argue that’s more a reflection of his poor decision making rather than an inability to shoot… regardless, it’s bad.
Trae Young with a nice pass at the end of the half.
Young with a nice hesitation drive. Got himself to the rim.
