Preview: Grizzlies at Cavaliers, February 2nd
2010-02-02Relevant Statistics:
Pace: Grizzlies 95.9 (9th) vs. Cavs 93.3 (27th)
Offensive Efficiency: Grizzlies 106.3 (11th) vs. Cavs 108.1 (5th)
Defensive Efficiency: Grizzlies 107.3 (25th) vs. Cavs 99.9 (5th)
Notes:
-The Grizzlies are coming off a huge win, and are obviously not a team to be taken lightly.
-Last time these teams met, Zach Randolph was able to get 32 and 14 on 10-19 shooting. He can be a tough matchup for Shaq, especially if he’s hitting midrange jumpers.
-I’d imagine AP will do a good job on OJ Mayo, who’s a wonderful outside shooter but doesn’t have blow-by speed.
-Rudy Gay was able to blow by LeBron for some huge baskets in the previous game. Let’s see if LeBron remembers that this game and makes it his mission to shut Gay down.

Thanks. Ugh, I would not have put in that NBA 2K reference if I knew the piece was going to be “national.”
It’s the top piece currently on the DDL. The good thing is, you are going to be the only guy who has that point of view who can get that piece seen. I feel the same way about Amare but it was falling on deaf ears.
It is? Which number?
John, congrats on your Amare piece being on the Daily Dime today.
I agree with the points made about Rudy Gay as well as the Grizzlies. You can definitely bet that LeBron will remember Gay’s offensive wizardry vs. the Cavs earlier in the season, and like you said will make it a top priority to shut Rudy down. Hopefully the Cavaliers take them seriously, and keep the streak alive.
