Jeremy Pargo, Woohoo
2012-11-21Jeremy Pargo, offensive maestro and passer extraordinaire, will be starting at the point guard position tonight, the Plain Dealer reports. Apparently Byron Scott considered slotting Boobie in at the 2 and giving Dion Waiters a shot at point guard, but he made the safe choice, and went with the player who’s averaged 2.7 points and 1.3 assists for his career. Ah, well. Here’s the link.
P.S. Seriously, though, I don’t want to take anything away from Jeremy. I’m sure this means a lot to him and his family, and I wish him the best.
P.P.S. More seriously though, CtB is fairly convinced that tonight marks the start of a hall-of-fame career for Mr. Pargo. The fact that Memphis literally gave Cleveland a second-round pick to take him from them will go down in infamy, on a level similar to when they traded Gasol to the Lakers.
Jeremy Pargo!! 28 points!! Cavs win!!
Enjoyed Dion’s dagger 3. Again, there is a lot to like about this team. Though to be fair, the fact that the Sixers can’t really shoot helps the defensie numbers these last two nights…
And look, someone has to say it; the refs were horrible tonight. TT, Andy and Dion had bloody obvious fouls committed against them yet did not get the call. Dion and TT are getting zero calls right now. Zeller either. I hate this “rookie’s don’t get calls” NBA frat boy nonsense. Hate. It.
CJ MILES EXPLOSION!
Larry Nance in the house!
Fun
Thank goodness for this win, or the guy who posted the depressing “Googling Pictures…” post might have killed himself.
Yeah, the whole team looked pretty good tonight. Pargo obviously was putting in work. Dion had a good game, shooting was a bit off, but that didn’t stop him from trying (I think poor shooting will never stop Dion from putting up more shots). Andy being Andy (gotta love it). Gee draining 3’s and blocking shots. Miles actually contributing something. TT was good on the glass, couldn’t put down a shot though. All around a good game from the Cavs. That streak of good shooting at the end to put the game out of reach was really something nice to… Read more »
Boy, this thread looks dumb now :)
Jeremy Pargo – ALLSTAR!!
Lol. Just delete the thread and pretend it didn’t happen.
PARGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also want to give some love to Alonzo who’s been more than living up to his new contract.
I’m loving how pargo’s playing right now- not the greatest passer, and by no means a pure scorer, but i’m glad to see him take it to the rack again and again and again.
JEREMY PARGO! 10 points. Not bad at all.
