Jason Whitlock with some advice for LeBron: “If you don’t win a championship this season, it’s time for you to fire head coach Mike Brown. I know that’s your guy and you love him. But Magic needed Pat Riley and Jordan needed Phil Jackson.”
Chris Broussard on LeBron and Kobe: “This story may be deeper than a nice gesture. It shows that James and Bryant have a legitimate relationship, not one that’s just fabricated in puppet commercials or pushed by Nike’s shoe salesmen.”
“In order for Ilgauskas to return, the Cavs would have to clear a roster spot. The most likely candidates to be waived are forward Darnell Jackson or rookie guard Danny Green because they don’t have contracts guaranteed for next season.” [Mary Schmitt Boyer – PD]
Mr. Cavalier on J.J. Hickson’s growth: “Hickson seems comfortable on the floor now. He doesn’t panic. He reads the play and reacts to it. In the first part of the season, he was missing all those passes, fumbling the ball out of bounds because he was rushing. Now, he catches and he finishes. He’s a totally different player now.”

It’s Darnell. Easy one.
I can’t believe big Z has a place in SoHo either.
Players in the D-League still count as part of the NBA roster, I believe. Darnell would have to get waived straight up if that’s the case.
Note that our scrub lineup will become Gibson, Danny Green, Jawario, and Leon Powe (or something similar). I think that five could compete with the Nets.
Man, I am soooooo tempted to turn that into a Fathead……
Brian: I think you’re right about it being a player option … looks like hoopshype is wrong.
In that case, I think DJ has to be the guy dropped. An undersized power forward who doesn’t do anything particularly well … who knows, maybe he’ll come back to haunt us, but I think DG’s upside is better and we’re a little thinner at SG than PF anyway.
D-Block has played meaningful minutes!

…But don’t worry, I had pushed that game out of my memory too…
Also, Darnell has the 2nd worst PER this year of players with at least 100 minutes
D-block is the only player on the roster who hasn’t played a “meaningful” minute in any game, unless I missed it. And with Varejao, Jamison, Hickson and Powe all under contract next year, I can’t see D-Block contributing then, either. I definitely hope he’s not kept over Green.
I think the Telfair option is a “player” option, not team; that’s what most sources have said.
The bookie stole that line from Bill Simmons.
BradleyH–I second your motion. Same thing I thought as soon as I read that–and as soon as the Washington trade first went down:

D-Block, say hello to the D league for us.
It will be interesting to see how it plays out. My guess is D-block will go but I get the feeling that Mike Brown thinks of his as another son. The Cavs are so loaded at PF right now that it really only makes sense to keep Danny Green. I think he has a higher ceiling than D-block too, but it’s tough to say.
And by the way, dropping D-Block seems so obvious to me. SG is a poistion of need and Green has looked promising in limited minutes. We have forwards everywhere and D-Block is pretty expendable.
Austin Carr is awesome.
Agreed, awesome picture.
Any reason why Telfair’s not a candidate to be dropped? According to hoopshype he has a team option for next year, so I assume that means the Cavs wouldn’t be on the hook for him next year if they released him. Heck, it’s not my money so it’s easy to say this, but I’d rather see the Cavs eat Telfair’s contract if it came to that and keep DJ and DG.
That picture is simply awesome.
