2013-01-25I know there’s been a lot of discussion here about the nature of the draft picks the Cavaliers own. Cavs.com gave forth a detailed breakdown of the various picks and protections.
In other news, Josh Selby was assigned to the D-League, and will play for the Canton Charge until the Cavs feel as though he is ready for the NBA. He was a devastating offensive force in the Summer League this year, and let’s hope he can replicate some of that success.
Selby in the D League could be well worth the $4 admission to a Charge game.
Any American player has to be one year removed from high school. This doesn’t apply to international players. “With the 35th selection in the 2013 NBA draft the Cleveland Cavaliers select….Andrew Wiggins.”
Sorry a tad bit of topic, but are we mass ordering those Saint Weirdo shirts or what? I want one badly, but not $32.40 a shirt badly.
Chris Grant will appear on Hoarders. Moldy second rounders are piled up in his fridge. He can’t navigate the hallway between his bedroom and living room; it’s full of picks, though he has managed to make a small tunnel.
Your family loves you, Chris, but you gotta get rid of some picks.
I still think it’s going to be a big guy. Noel or Len.
I’m intrigued by McLemore, but unless he’s a great player, I’d rather get the big this year.
If the Browns had 3 2nd round picks they’d probably draft WR, WR, and LB, only one of whom would be even a marginal NFL player. Oh wait, they already did this.
If they can’t get a great trade out of those 2nd rounders, what are the rules for overseas players? Still “one year removed from high school”? Might be worth a long shot to try and lock up some of the high-potential overseas players before they’re ready to come over. Although it seems that a lot of teams did that with their late second rounders this year, so maybe that well has run a bit dry?
Or draft guys to stash overseas.
they will package those picks in trades to get a first rounder or use those second rounders to move up in the draft a few spots, similar to the zellar trade.
Someone needs to design a flowchart for the Cavs draft picks through 2020.
What are the Cavs going to do with 3 second round picks? I wish the Browns had 3 second round picks.
