Preview: Cavaliers at Hornets, March 24th
2010-03-24Quick Notes:
-Hornets are scary. They gave the Cavs a real test last time, Chris Paul is back, and the Cavs are on the road. Far from an easy game.
-Keep Marcus Thornton out of the transition game.
-This should be the game Z returns. Get excited.
-Your recommended reading is Hornets 24/7 and At The Hive. See you after the game.
Cool link Mat.. wouldnt have expected J Kidd there particularly. Do you remember at the olympics all the interviews and stuff though, the other players seemed so thrilled to have him at point. I guess you dont earn that kind of respect without being pretty special.
Man, that BR tool is addictive – came up with this one for fun:

Notice Lebron’s scoring load against the other three qualifiers…
I’ve been tracking this for a while: if LeBron can climb back above 30 PPG and stay above 50% FG shooting, it will be only the second season in NBA history in which a player averaged at least 30 PPG, 7 RPG, 8 APG and 50% shooting. Oscar Robertson never did it; it was Jordan, with his ridiculous 32.5/8/8 on 53.8% shooting in 1988-89 (when, incidentally, he was 25). Tonight’s game helped LeBron with this admittedly esoteric accomplishment. He’s up to 29.8 PPG and 50.4% shooting. It’s amazing what a 38 point game on 15/22 shooting will do for one’s… Read more »
Wasn’t expecting Z to have a big night, but I liked Mike Brown’s use of him. He still got 20 minutes and showed that he can and will be effective off the bench. But I think Hickson should continue to start until O’Neal gets back.
Hicksonmania!!!!!! The kid was money around the basket today. Glad we never traded him. Anybody that improves that quickly puts in a lot of work. I can’t wait till he gets a lot stronger and becomes a Brandon Bass type player
LeBron: 28-9-8-2-2 in March.
And that’s DOWN from February…
Bill Simmons’ Twitter:
LeBron deserves to win the MVP by something stronger than “unanimously.” They should give him two. Or an oversized trophy.
I couldn’t have said it better. Also, when two Cavs combine for 31 points and 20 rebounds and neither is Lebron, I am very happy. For the record, it was Hickson (20 and 9) and Jamison (11 and 11). Woohoo go Cavs!
