2010-04-07“I’m not going into this game thinking I’m going to cut anybody’s minutes. If the game goes along and I think I need to cut somebody’s minutes, I will. But [Tuesday’s] game wasn’t really part of my plan [to rest] for the playoffs.” [Mike Brown from Mary Schmitt Boyer’s Cavs Insider]

“It’s about time,” the Cavs guard said after scoring a season-high 18 points and tying his season highs with eight rebounds and six assists in the Cavaliers’ 113-101 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday night at The Q. “I got a couple of good looks and they went down. I had a couple of layups and that gets you going a little bit.” [AP in Mary Schmitt Boyer’s Game Recap]

82games.com has been updated. My question is this: Will Mike Brown try to play Varejao and Jamison together in the playoffs? They are #2 and #3 behind LeBron statistically, and check out 5-man-unit number 8!
Check Out Mo Williams in the Month of April (3 games): 65% FG, 54% 3P, 18 ppg, 6 apg. We need Mo of this in the Playoffs.

“Jamison’s so good. He just always, always knows where to be. I know the Raps have made defensive mistakes, but this guy… He’s smart.” [OutsidetheNBA]

“Varejao didn’t take long to get back to normal” [Rock@WFNY]
I was lucky enough to go to Game 1 against the Pistons last year and the place was rockin’! When Lebron nailed that half-court shot at the half, it erupted like nothing else I’ve ever experienced. Fantastic experience, and I hope to make it to one this year too.
Late edition link: Baseline’s Sean Deveney picks AV as one of his two runners up for 6th man of the year. It’s great seeing Varejao get legit recognition this year beyond having long hair and “flopping”.
I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m not sure what to think of the new “CrowdWave” at the Q. Having been to my first Cavs game less than two weeks ago, I thought the energy was already off the charts. Can’t wait to experience my first playoff game at the Q this year; that will be insane.
looks like your p button might be mirrored horizontally.
I am particularly excited to see Varejao and Jamison in the playoffs.
I’m very exciting about Jamison in the playoffs. He really has a knack for scoring in the half-court when things get junked up. He’s a “bail out scorer”. He isn’t the most efficient shooter, but his efficiency doesn’t seem to decrease much when his shots are contested vs open.
I don’t have much substantive to contribute. Just, man am I excited for the playoffs. I can’t wait to see what some of these guys do in playoff mode this year (namely AV, Jamison, JJ, Mo). Plus there’s always the question of how many levels of insanity LeBron reaches in per game production. April, May, and hopefully June are going to be some awesome months for Cleveland basketball.
