“Stern said the players were “totally within their rights” to perpetrate this ambush on a nearly $4 billion industry, and he would know. Stern, under the very collective bargaining agreement he wants to set aflame like Clevelanders are doing to LeBron jerseys, is the sole and final arbiter of all matters tampering.” [Ken Berger Not a Fan of the NBA’s Incestuous Relationships]

“But the true low point for the team was hearing and then reading about how James was actively recruiting free agents for his new team: putting the full-court press on friend Mike Miller, meeting Derek Fisher at the airport and calling up to tug Mr. Cavalier Zydrunas Ilgauskas to South Beach.” [Brian Windhorst on Cavs Limited Options]

…………..
Jamison getting robbed of a championship because of LeBron’s selfishness is one of the untold stories about last season, and it’s the one that makes me most upset for another entity outside of the city of Cleveland. Jamison wins those good guy awards for a reason. And he can still play. Just a sad situation.
Hickson works hard, might have the best standing vertical in basketball, and has good form/touch around the hoop. He has the tools to be an excellent player. Amare is much more skilled than Hickson but not as athletic. Could develop into that type of player though if he can learn to shoot better. My guess is he becomes Shawn Kemp without the handles.
You think Hickson is as injury prone as Amare? Similarities in their
@WFNY-I think I like the idea of Jamison coming off the bench. Not sure how much of a leader he’ll be out there, but his crafty plays on offense will help.. along with his rebounding skills. Even though Jamison got murdered by KG I felt good about his effort on defense during the regular season. Not sure if that defensive drive will be there now…he’s gotta be bummed.
Yea, I gotta say the fact that Lebron is openly recruiting to Miami pisses me off. There were always talks of him recruiting players to CLE, but never in the open, so you never actually knew.
For instance, I’ve seen reports that he went hard after Ray Allen during the 2005 off-season..but then read whole pieces about Danny Ferry and the Cavs never contatced Ray Allen. In Miami..it’s hard to dispute what he’s doing.
Where was that in CLE?
Hickson ripping the summer league up. Still can’t play defense. Amare 2.0 is on the way.
