Cavs take on the best team in the NBA tonight. After Dion helped the Thunder defeat the Jazz tonight with 15 points, 50% shooting, and four steals. Let’s hope J.R. Smith steps up to the pressure to match his production.
Meanwhile, Tina Fey Mozgov joins the Cavs tonight, having passed his physical. Can he help Cleveland slow down the splash brothers?
I don’t care they went in tonight, JR cannot be taking twice as many shots as Love on a regular basis if this team is to win.
Kevin Love hasn’t been that great in the post this season. Lately he’s been hesitant to pull the trigger on 3s. They weren’t ignoring him tonight like in other days. J.R. Smith probably only need to take 16 shots tonight, but he’s J.R. Smith so you are going to get those other 7 shots that make you cringe.
Yeah . . . that sort is what I am getting at. If K-Love is not that great in the post while being reluctant to shoot 3s and in the meantime JR is jacking up 23 shots a game, we’re in trouble.
I dont know our shots just weren’t falling in the fourth and they made literally everything. We are missing players and integrating new ones, I didn’t think the game was that bad. We stayed with them for 3 qtrs

Miller and Jones should combine for at most a few shots every night.
I don’t think TT had a terrible night, but he’s clearly a limited player. There are things he just can’t do (free throws still elude him).
Mozgov looked good for his first game as a Cav. He seems impossibly tall.
Where the %$@# were Irving and Love in the second half? They were aware that the game has two halves, right?
It’s a point that Zach Lowe made earlier in the season — TT is a very useful player but hustle undersized bigs without 3 point range are not that hard to find on the cheap. A guy like Ed Davis making $1.5 million a year can give you 90% of TT’s production.
Unfortunately Rich Paul is his agent so the Cavs will give TT some over the moon deal that will hurt their ability to stock the roster. Lebron giveth, Lebron taketh away.

The Cavs MUST win their next two games against Sacramento and Phoenix. I don’t care if they’re not healthy. If they don’t I might look to trade Kevin Love. How can you have two so called superstars on the floor and go 0-8? Another Cleveland epic fail.
Sacramento and Phoenix are inferior teams. No more excuses.
If LBJ doesn’t come back before end of road trip, they are going to be sub .500 by the end of it. I’m going to either the Lakers or Clippers game next week. Maybe I should choose the Lakers since there might be a chance Cavs win that game…

Mark Jackson just said that LeBron has played more minutes than Andre Miller. ANDRE MILLER. That is unconscionable and more than anything makes me really sad. That is some perspective. His body must be a ticking time-bomb of physical deterioration and collapse. He might just hit a wall soon in the next few years and his body might just totally give out. We are certainly closer to the end of one of the most glorious sporting and athletic spectacles of all time than we are to the beginning, and thats a sobering thought.
i mean, the body is a regenerative thing. Like, you lose quickness because those quick firing muscles aren’t as fast anymore, but ticking time bomb?
I mean there are guys that run marathons every day in their 70s. LeBron’s going to have to adjust his game now that his quickness and leaping ability are on the way down. But he’s big, strong, and can shoot. Needs to get comfy in the post.
I hope you’re right, but how much precedent is there for the amount of wear and tear he’s taken, compacted in such a relatively short time-span? I don’t think those 70 year old marathon runners were running a marathon a month (or whatever the equivalent is) every year since they were 18

Heat is so so good. One my all time faves. Possibly the last great movie pacino and deniro were in.
