Preview: Cavaliers at 76ers, November 5th
2010-11-05Relevant Statistics:
Offensive Efficiency: Cleveland 96.6 (26th) vs. Philadelphia 99.8 (21st)
Defensive Efficiency: Cleveland 105.6 (20th) vs. Philadelphia 98.5 (6th)
Pace: Cleveland 94.3 (22nd) vs. Philadelphia 97.0 (18th)
Notes:
-The keys to this one will be slowing down Philadelphia’s frontcourt (Elton Brand is actually not sucking, like, at all, and Thad Young is a good player), keeping Lou Williams from doing too much damage in the limited amount of time the 6ers give him, and finding ways to score on Philly’s surprisingly stingy defense.
It’s an athletic team, so every mistake the Cavs make is going to bite them. Hopefully Mo will start to settle in tonight, J.J. can take it right to their frontcourt, and the Cavs can get back to fundamentals on defense. I’ll be in the dime tonight, so come say hi.
Wow, Bick seems kind of bitter. Sour grapes much?
“Perhaps the worst team in the East”
Did you even look at their offensive and defensive efficiency metrics in the post? Those are usually a better sign of strength than just record.
Really Rich, you are putting so much stock on this win? Against perhaps the worst team in the East whose best player was injured in the 2nd quarter. Kindergarten Jru Holiday made some youth mistakes down the line but surely you saw him torch Mo WIlliams who is supposed to be your best player. And it will be next year again when Verajao gets another 23 points and 13 rebounds game. Enjoy this win, there won’t be too many.
for the life i me i don’t understand why this team will not get hickson the ball more. esp. during those periods when the offense is stagnant…btw andy and JJ have been great so far, all things considered.
2-3 in the first five. Still gonna be a long season, but some of these pre-season predictions of below 15 wins is already out the window.
On the same note, the predictions of Miami winning 70+ is also out the window with two losses in the first 6 games.
Well, Lou Williams did his damage, but we were able to overcome it.
Andy played a fantastic game tonight. Gibson e Mo helped get the win.
