Get your CtB Tees and benefit “The Cure Starts Now” fund (Or, the time we made a t-shirt).
2015-04-17- THEY’RE AWESOME! Seriously, this shirt design is tight. It features our logo, the year, and a basketball word cloud of all our writers, many of our frequent commenters, our favorite Cavs nicknames, things you’ve come to love about CtB, and all of our favorite storylines from the 2014-2015 season, “The Season of Wow.” (Click the title pic for a closeup view of the wordcloud).
- It comes in three different colors. If you want another color, ask. I might design one.
- You’re going to want to commemorate the 2015 Cavs season. Just trust me.
- I want to see CtB 2015 shirts in the wild. I know you do too. It will make us all smile.
- And this is the most important part. We’re not making a dime on these. All proceeds will go to”The Cure Starts Now” Lauren Hill tribute fund. Great swag and a great cause?! What’s not to love?
Here’s how it works. The awesome folks over at Booster.com handle all the details. We just put up the design, and aggregate our orders for two weeks, so that they can print all the shirts at once. In honor of Lauren Hill’s jersey, No. 22, Shirts are priced at a reasonable $22 ($5 shipping). You just give them your size and where you want it shipped! (Don’t worry. I’m working on international shipping. I’ll have it working by the beginning of next week, but it might cost a little more). Also, special thanks to the folks at Tagxedo.com for the wordcloud ap.
Here are your designs. Please note that these are mockups, not actual pictures of t shirts, the logo, especially should “pop” more on the actual shirt.

If you don’t know who Lauren Hill is, Lauren was a teenager and basketball player from the Cincinnati area who passed away from a terminal brain tumor earlier this month. Only 19, she was able to live out her dream of being a college basketball player for Mount St. Joseph university. Her courage has inspired people around the world, including many around the NBA, and in the Cavs organization. LeBron James penned a moving tribute to her on Twitter, earlier this week.
Lauren co-founded the charity, “The Cure Starts Now” which seeks to find a cure for pediatric brain cancer, and supports its victims and their families. You can read more about Lauren, here. Please know that we didn’t decide to give to this cause out of a desire to attach ourselves out of any desire to increase our own exposure. Rather, we wanted to make t-shirts, and this was the absolute best thing we thought we could do with the money.
So buy a few! You can also increase individual donations to the fund at Booster.com. Tweet it, FaceBook it, spread the word! In the past year you all have followed this blog and made it such a fun community of writers, readers, and fans. So buy a t-shirt! Wear it with pride.
yes thank you u-dog —–great article —really get to know the true JR both as a player and a person—-very happy that he is a cav —believe HE IS THE ” X” FACTOR FOR ENTIRE PLAYOFFS
Long JR Smith commentary on the season:
“Worst to First – My Journey to Contention”
https://medium.com/the-cauldron/worst-to-first-my-journey-to-contention-4a5dd4ec0811
Thanks a ton, Underdog.
Everyone on this blog needs to read this JR. Smith article. Twice.
My favorite part is he comes right out and says Cavs fans are better basketball fans than Knick fans. I wonder how guys like Bill Simmons would react to that?
This is the best: http://www.igohardnow.com/2015/04/16/thunder-missing-the-playoffs-shouldnt-hurt-waiters-mvp-chances/
ARCH I WAS THINKING ALONG THE SAME LINES AS YOU ” WEARING MT CTB SHIRT —-SOMEONE RECOGNIZES COLS 714 ” —– AND JUST PLAIN SLAPS ME ( NO HIGH 5 )—-HA – HA —SORRY ABOUT THAT COLS —YOU HELP MAKE THIS BLOG WHAT IT IS —THE GREATEST !!
LOL great comment, NOMAD
Wow! Nice work Nate and others who helped on this. Great way to remind us all of an amazing year and remin me what I did on most mornings w coffee and most nights w a drink; read the CtB! And it goes to an amazing cause. Thanks to all!
Go Cavs…
You guys do awesome coverage of the Cavs and I never miss reading a post or a podcast on this site. Everything about this shirt will make me feel so proud. From supporting a great cause to remembering some of the worst and best and most odd and unforgettable moments and lines from Cavs fandom. I really enjoyed the JR Pipe, the Herculoids, Saint Wierdo, and the bowling trip. Cavs good karma is really in full swing. Great job, Nate. I’m about to order one in red and get it shipped all the way down to Charlotte NC.
What Cavsgoodkarma said.
I’m in my mid-fifties. There have been few sports seasons I’ve enjoyed as much as this one. Half of it was because of the Cavs. Half because of you guys.
Just bought the cardinal shirt . . . although I think the black provides more contrast for reading the captions. If I can get it by the 13th of May (not looking good) I can wear it on vacation while the playoffs are in full swing.
Just ordered one for me and the Mrs. Let’s get to 50!!!
Nate – you and the rest of the fellas have done an awesome job with this site. I used to read Swerbsblurbs.com, but they just shut down (for some reason). Really glad you guys were here to fill that void for me. In terms of the shirt, I love it, but is there any way you could create a blue version (perhaps using the blue and orange color scheme used by the early 90s Cavs teams)?? I think that a blue t shirt with orange lettering would sell really well. Anyway, just a suggestion…..
I had to limit designs. There’s a minimum number we have to hit with each style. We played with the orange/blue a bit but it never looked right and it was hard to simulate on screen. If you want one, email me and I’ll try to make it happen.
Nate – really appreciate the response. Don’t worry about it – if you think the blue didn’t turn out too well, then I’ll go ahead and order the wine colored tshirt. Appreciate the offer anyway. Go Cavs!
just finished my shirt order —WILL WEAR IT PROUDLY—-NOW LET’S DEDICATE THIS PLAYOFF SEASON TO LAUREN AND HANG A NBA CHAMPIONSHIP BANNER FOR HER AND ALL US ” STARVED ” CLEVELAND FANS AND WEAR THAT PROUDLY ALSO !!!
WOW —-WOW —WOW !!!—-YOU GUYS ARE THE GREATEST ( WE DID IT EVIL !!! )—-MORE EVCITING THAN BEING ACCEP[TED IN MY COLLEGE FRATERNITY =====IT IS THE CTB FRAT BROTHERHOOD !!!
Great work, Nate. I’ll get one and wear it to the Cavs-Warriors finals here in Oakland.
Btw, I finally listened to the podcast. You guys were hilarious. Tom wins the podcast in the last 10 minutes with his “Library”-“Beethoven” 1-2 punch.
Couldn’t decide on the color… so I bought one of each…
Is Dan Gilbert on it? (He’s posted on a few occasions.)
On another note, Terry Pluto had a nice article on the assembling of the Cavs team this year. Cleveland.com/sports
The Pluto piece has this interesting quote from Griffin:
“Winning matters to Kevin,” said Griffin. “LeBron’s presence matters to him. Kyrie’s presence matters to him, and those two have become close this season. You have to believe that the kind of team we are building is speaking to him.”
So Love and Irving, who may be the most reserved personalities on the team — the two quiet guys in the corner — are sympatico. Who knew? That can only help with the team’s performance and keeping everything together.
Who knew? You know they made an Uncle Drew commercial together two years ago, right?
Great point, Grover. I’m surprised that hasn’t been brought up more.
Again, recommend that everyone read the Terry Pluto article cited above. The assertions made in it dispel almost all of this year’s media speculations (or made up stories . . . “because I have a sports story homework assignment due every few days, I have to make stuff up”).
You guys are just awesome. Truly. This blog is too smart for just sports. Ever thought of taking up World Peace? Come to think of it, world peace is probably an easier task than a Cleveland championship. ;)
I have some great ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cols prediction: Cavs over World Peace is 5 games.
That’s brilliant!
Unless World Peace runs a space and pace offense :)
Friggin brilliant. I’ll wear it with pride.
Wow very cool! Thinking Red or Black.
Black, I’ll wear it more.
Awesome! This is right up there with Tom’s opus on Love. From Gilbert’s Plane to Lue’s timeouts to the home winning streak, it’s not a T-shirt, it’s a saga!
VERY NICE!!! What a great idea!
Just ordered one in Red.
This is the greatest!
Order in.
Wow. That’s awesome. Nice work. I’ll get one.
Haha thanks for putting all our names on this shirt. I can see it now – I’m walking down the street and people are looking at my shirt and saying “hey I know Cols714,” as they slap me high five.
Amazing work Nate! Your tireless hours of effort on this has resulted in not only something that all C:tBers can wear with gusto and pride, but also benefits a wonderful cause. C:tB… where the awesome is possible!
Awesome design for a deserving cause. Kudos Nate.
ICYMI ESPN has the Shump/JR alley-op as a top 10 play for the regular season. @ESPNNBA: ICYMI: Top 10 plays of the NBA season…in animated form!
http://t.co/yutJLv6j1Q
Nice. Thanks for the link. Just don’t tell Nate who’s at No. 6!
Enjoyed the 10 plays, but its like they just got their first copy of Photoshop and were amazed with the “Turn in to pencil drawing” utility. Would have preferred just the regular 10 plays :)
Nice job! A couple of weeks ago I watch a segment on 60 minutes about how Duke Medical School is now injecting a modified Polio virus into some brain tumor patients and it has cured these people 100%. Sad to see that Lauren could not get the opportunity to find a similar way to survive.
Thanks, Arch. I know you’re in the word cloud somewhere.
