Live Thread: Cavs @ Kings

2016-03-09 Off By Tom Pestak

As bad as things may seem at times, with the Cavaliers lack of focus and myriad excuses for falling short of greatness, it’s important to remember that it’s barely been two years since the Cavaliers lost 124-80 to the Hapless Kings.  What’s even stranger is that they led the game 32-30 after the first quarter.  This game was one of the four low points of the #seasonofHuh.  Akron-Beacon Journal Beat Writer Jason Lloyd threw some shade after the game:

They’re just too soft. Under no circumstance should the Kings beat any team in the NBA by 44 points. They’re the freaking Kings!

It was the Kings 3rd largest margin of victory in the history of their franchise, which extends all the way back to the Rochester Royals and the founding of the NBA, a full decade before moving to Cincinnati where The Big O tripled doubled all over the Queen City.

So, the Cavs were on the receiving end of something historic.  Tony Allen knows all about that.

Let’s hope DeMarcus Cousins says something mean about LeBron’s fortune cookie tweets or something, anything, to light a fire under our boys’ behinds.

Let’s also hope that fine gentleman Rajon Rondo of BrokenJumperShire is forced to hoist instead of waltzing through the lane with his monoCLE.
