Live Thread: Cavs vs. Bucks (#HappyBirthdayToDrew)
2016-03-23I don’t know about you, but I’ve had enough of playing “unfollow the leader” this week. Enough of the social media nonsense and real media reaction to it. Nearly lost in all of it was the fun of seeing the Cavs hit on the majority of cylinders against a mediocre Nuggets team, and LeBron’s surly and spectacular triple double. So, tonight… I’m gonna focus on the fun stuff as the Cavs welcome the Milwaukee Bucks to town for one more home game before they head off for a weekend set in the big apple. Namely, Kyrie Irving’s 24th birthday… It’s really hard to believe that Uncle Drew is still such a newcomer in this league. His youth and ceiling of growth keeps my positivity about this team’s future at a high level, despite what ultimately LeBron decides to do. I, for one, am going to do my best to enjoy the H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks out of the last Dirty Dozen games of this season… and eagerly await the post-season to come.
So, Happy Birthday Kyrie! Here’s hoping you get what you wish for, whether it’s a victory tonight, another Eastern Conference crown, or a time-share of the Larry O’Brien trophy come June. On another positive note, Kevin Love should be back in the lineup after a night off. Also, it’s JR Swishhhh bobblehead night for you lucky few attending tonight’s game… If anyone wants to sell theirs, please email me so I don’t have to resort to eBay bidding…
Prediction: Kyrie blows out the candles on the Bucks… and LeBron Snapchats a pic of it… Cavs win 111-94.
Draymond really is good at basketball. He’s smart. He generally makes the easiest play he can. He doesn’t complicate things for his teammates. And he has developed the ability to only call on his emotions for positive motivation. I was shocked to hear about his explosion at his teammates at halftime several games ago, if only because he more than anyone else in the league channels emotion into momentum.
If Charles Barkley were drafted the same year as draymond, they would be similar players. Green doesn’t have barkley’s freak athleticism, but he plays a similar game.
GOOD WIN TONIGHT! Just saw the highlights. LeBron put on a dunk-a-thon. Wow.
Clips playing much tougher than I thought they would. Curry is the KiNG of being small and dainty and so falls down constantly. Nearly always gets the foul call
Mudiay sinks a half court buzzer beater to win the game.
#Cavaliers C Timofey Mozgov is shooting 16-for-19 (84.2 percent) over his last five games, collecting 37 PTS and 18 REB in 82 MIN. #Mozzy
So happy for him. That is huge for this team.
ways with CAA; plans to sign with LeBron James’ agent, Rich Paul of Klutch Sports

Sorry, this was cut off for some reason. JR signing with Klutch!
well, LeBron helped resurrect JR’s career. Not too surprising.
Clips up after 1…played real hard nosed defense in that quarter, and the Warriors played real, hard nosed stupid.
Who do you think wins the series between Boston and Miami if Boston has HCA.
Boston can match up with their small ball line up, but the Heat have the experience and an advantage with Whiteside.
I think Boston is 2-0 so far this year head to head….hard to say, I think that’s a pretty even matchup. Iso Joe may make a difference.
Maybe the Clippers can beat the Warriors for once?

I was thinking the same thing. Clips would need starters for 48 mins
They did lose to the Bucks, so anything is possible.
Yeah… but, it’s the Clippers man…
Well the Spurs are demolishing the Heat. That’s good to see.
If Giannis actually develops a Durant like game, he will be terrifying the league
I thought Mosgov gave a really good game. Helped the team a lot against so many BIGS.
Kyrie: We need our Bigs making plays. Hmm
You see that Kyrie birthday cake?
No… where did they show it?
Fox Ohio Right before Kyrie’s interview in locker room. It was HUGE. 3 layers
Nice! I’ll have to go back and check it out…
GOOD PT TV63/ DON’T NEED HIM TO BE “OLD J.R. IN NEW YORK “
I still can’t believe the heat have Whiteside. That is…its just unfair in so many ways.
Knicks are boat-racing the Bulls in Chicago…
Okay who is going to watch JR in New York??? Lue should assign someone
Paging Orange Mamba…
Might be risky. lol
I guess everything is awesome tonight.

Pistons win and Bulls loss… Not looking good for the Bulls.
It seems weird that the Cavs had two off days in LA between the Lakers and Clips games, and now they’ll have an off day in NYC between the Nets and Knicks games. Or do visiting players like to have days off in those cities?
YES THE CELTICS BEAT THE RAPTORS—THANK YOU CELTS ( WON’T SEE ME SAY THAT TOO MANY TIMES )
Kidd saying very positive things on Cunningham. He is their best cutter he said
I think I miss the Ninja even more than AV…
I actually understand that. He was young & clawing his way into staying in NBA. He put so much effort in his play.
Raptors offense is paltry without Lowry tonight. Not that the Cavs havent thrown up a few of those this season, even with LBJ.
Celtics win so I think we are back to 2 games above Raps!
Raps fall 2.5 games behind Cavs with loss to Celtics…
Raps lose!
Looks like TOR going down so 2.5 games up again.
Kidd saying TT off the bench killed us..
Celtics seal the deal, giving the Cavs a 2-game edge on Toronto in the loss column.
Good news!!
WATCHED THE MONSTER REVERSE SLAM BY BRON—-WATCH THE ALPHABET RUN FOR DEARLIFE !!
The Nets suck. No reason we can’t beat them without LeBron!
Shhhhh Don’t speak too soon
Oh! And Nate Smith, please find me a reason to not appreciate TT again. He’s getting better every game down the stretch here.
And yeah the Bucks suck at defensive rebounding. He still singlehandedly saved for possessions and ran 2 minutes of clock to Finish the game. Has won us two tight games in the past 5.
Yeah, and had some huge late game shot blocks this season. He’s really gotten good at maximizing his strengths and minimizing his weaknesses.
Hard to beat these lines…
