Coach Tyronn Lue made some waves this evening when he announced that TT would be the starting center indefinitely. Cavs be Cavsin’.
The wine and told need to win one of their last two games, both against Eastern Conference playoff contenders Altanta and Detroit. The Cavs will be without Mo Williams and Iman Shumpert.
I guess if there was ever a time to boldly declare TT to the starting 5 spot it would be against the Hawks. They are undersized up front and TT has really dominating them on the glass lately.

Remind yourself that you bought it during the season Lebron James decided to listen to a coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers for once, and started setting an example prior to game 1 of the Eastern Conference Playoffs. And that same season the Cavs won the title…Lebron solidified himself as a top 5 NBA player of all time as he averaged 1 rebound shy of a triple double during the playoff run. Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love refuse to be outshines on the boards.
For the Toronto bet, right? It might be a shirt from last year though, since I’m not sure what the status of this year’s t-shirt is yet…

Missed the game live, but just finished watching the DVR… One thing is for sure, and has been for two weeks now… LBJ is in playoff mode. It’s also obvious that Kyrie listens to the podcasts religiously… I’m sure Timo got no run because this was the Hawks. I hear you! In the BR survey, it was just a Blatt vs Rambis choice. I hope Blatt passes on this job too if offered.
Why would he pass? It’s a great opportunity: coach one of the most exciting big men to come into the league in history, a team with unlimited resources, and a very smart GM who will respect him, plus direct flights to Tel Aviv.
Lots of pluses for sure, but I think coaching Anthony probably isn’t
fun and neither is the glare of the BIg Apple. But then again, there aren’t that many NBA head coach jobs and Blatt could probably handle the NY media. And he would get a big paycheck too. Lastly, the zen master couldn’t be any harder on Blatt than Griffin was. Do you think he bites if the phone rings?
Pfff NY media? He’ll do fine & expose a couple of them for stupid questions. I don’t think he’ll take job if Jackson insists on forcing him to coach Triangle Offense,
I’m with you Nate….. I would think that Blatt is all over that with the quickness.
If we’re going to consider that Melo is getting traded this summer, and Phil isn’t going to be there in the long run, NY might actually be good for coach Blatt.

Blatt isn’t desperate . He won’t bow down to the failed Triangle Offense. If Jackson could get over that, then maybe, I doubt it happens,

Kyrie scored 35 points on 28 shots, with 4 assists.
It was good to see Irving not missing everything tonight, but I’m not sure that’s your offensive template for consistent success.
35 shots on 28 shotes is incredible efficiency. 34 points on 16 shots is lunacy. Both were great nights.

Pretty sure its warranted. 90-30 over past 120. 12-2 in playoffs last year. Best player in league with proven track record of raising play in playoffs. 5 straight Finals.
Now, the Finals are a different story — Ws will be heavy favorites. But this is a great team, and as a suffering Cleveland Fan, I am not taking it for granted. Excited for playoffs.
Living in the present: 57-24 this year, +6 diff. Only on fleeting occasions have they resembled the team that went 32-7, +10.5 in the second half of last season.
Agree Phil Hubbard. To nitpick, Irving had 6 turnovers to 4 assists too. Would have been more efficient to give Love more touches. I always watch closey at games I attend and again tonight, and Irving in general doesn’t look for Love enough. As others stated below, Love is a solid team player.
Kyrie got real shot happy. Definitely ignored Love whose shot, especially from three, looked like butter. He had a nice game, but was really sloppy at times and got owned by Teague more than once. Nice game. Let’s string four or five of those together, Irving.

Haha! I am definitely celebrating. Got my scotch and pretzels… But someone needs to poke fun at all of the negative comments aimed at KI that happened all day long on this site. Especially with KI just went blowtorch on the Hawks.

Solid win tonight and sure hope this is the Irving we see. We are 6-4 the last ten, Hot Sauve, so there is reason for concern. But with James anything is possible.
Over there last 120 or so regular season games, they are about 90 and 30. In the playoffs last year they were 12-2 in the East. The fact that you fixate on 10 games when their second best player is in a clear shooting slump is, to be frank, kind of crazy. Team has been quasi-bored all year, but has has shown a consistent ability to play at an elite level when it needs to. I am really exicted about the team, and see very little reason for concern until the Finals.

It was curious. It was a safe game to get Frye & Love to play center. Different story against Drummond on Saturday, Lue is hoping the benching will motivate Mosgov. He is the only player Lue is more than willing to bench.

You think that is weird. Warriors had very little assists against Spurs. They were not letting them to disrupt the passing lanes. They are good enough they can do that.

Well after this roller coaster season and throughout all of the inconsistent play… we have accomplished what what all of us basically wanted at the start of the season: #1 seed in the East, LeBron rolling and everyone’s healthy for our playoff run. Gonna be a fun ride, fellas.

Good idea! How late can we add a player? I cannot think of any reason not to go into the playoffs with 15. We only have about 11 that can actually play.
