InstaCap: Warriors 108, Cavs 97 (Suffocated to death) 2016-06-11 Off By Tom Pestak Live Thread: Cavs @ Warriors, NBA Finals Game 4 Recap: Warriors 108 , Cavs 97 (or, “Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up… )
Tom should instacap the apocalypse. Tom Pestak: “Well we tried. We sent Robert Duval up in that space shuttle to destroy the asteroid heading for Earth, and he left it all out there, but it just impacted on the surface. So unless some random group of oil well drillers can somehow pull a rabbit put of a hat, we’re all going be vaporized, die in the tidal wave, or starve to death from no sunlight. We gave it our all. It was a good ride, human race. We’ll see what happens. “
You know what’s the most Cleveland thing in existence? Varejao completely swings the momentum of a playoff game, except he does it *against* us.
The most Cleveland thing in existence is complaining about a guy who played just four minutes and went -1. Ezeli in for Varejao doesn’t make a lick of difference with the whole host of other problems we have against this team.
Hah. Right. And those o-boards didn’t completely get GS going.
The Cavs outscored the Warriors during that stretch despite those three o-rebs, and took the lead back after Varejao left the game for good. I know this town loves to give Andy credit for things he had nothing to do with, but the Cavs defensive issues and lack of movement on offense in the 4th q were because of a lot of other reasons.
Again, I refuse to believe it is just talent when the cavs just spend 15 seconds searching for mismatch switches with no off ball movement. They have a simplistic offense for whatever reason. They always have with both Lue And Blatt. I was literally pulling my hair our in the third and fourth watching them refuse to roll at the the top of the key or literally trying to watch james and irving go 1 on 3 or 4. How many times did James even set a screen and either slip or roll? One, two, hmmm? I mean their offense… Read more »
“Make or miss league” is the dumbest cliche in the NBA. Occasionally there is a game where that is true. but hasn’t been true in this series. Make or miss league? Get good looks, and you’ll make shots.
Yep Mike, my point exactly, concisely stated. Thanks for boiling down my rant into its essence.
I hear ya. I think it is overused. You can’t create better looks at the free throw line. The Cavs hit contested shots off basic action in game 3. They have yet to create any semblance of a motion offense or something with weak side action in any of the first 4 games. We discussed this a lot after games 1 and 2. The way the Warriors defend has apparently reduced the Cavs offense to isolation and simple 2man stuff. Still, the Warriors made contested shots (not uncontested back door layups) and the Cavs missed 11 free throws and a… Read more »
Last night, especially in the second half, the Warriors got lots of open shots, off Cavs bad offense leading to transition chances, or defensive breakdowns like two Cavs running away from Curry or Frye switching onto Curry 40 feet from the hoop.

According to a source familiar with the spat between LeBron James and Draymond Green, the trigger word was DG calling James a “b*tch”
How completely unsurprising. And coming from Bray, the biggest b*tch in the league.
how is calling Lebron a B…h word make Bron talk about his wife and kids? I don’t get that connection. I am sure in NBA games, there are worse things called throughout the game. To me, that’s nothing. DG hitting Bron in the jewel area – now that to me is worth something. To NBA office, probably get a good laugh and ignore it
Listening to Lue at post game, not a confidence builder for sure.
Would he be the coach if he weren’t close to Bron?
Always appreciate the InstaCap, Tom, but I think Mrs. Pestak needs to give you a hug…
Too much hero ball by Kyrie, and what’s up Lebron’s stat-padding lay ups at the end?
Cavs 100%. Blog.
Sad. I’m sad. I love this team.
