Game Thread: Hornets at Cavaliers, 11/13/16
2016-11-13Alright, matinee game against the Hornets, who are off to a strong start. No J.R. for the Cavaliers tonight — it looks like Dunleavy is getting the start so that Shump can stay in the good grove he’s been in backing up Kyrie, so hopefully this can get Dunleavy going.
Let’s hope Kemba Walker doesn’t have another 40-point outburst, keep that ball moving, and extract all the delicious honey we can from these Hornets. See you after the game.
Charlotte has been playing some good ball to start the season. I was worried about another “eh, is it June yet?” letdown, as against the Hawks. Instead we got some nice performances from bench guys and a quality win. I have to believe this’ll pay some dividends down the road. The fact that Kyrie and Love sat the fourth may also be good for maintaining high expectations. I hope Dunleavy figures it out. That was not the start Lue of Griff were hoping for.

Yeah but let’s be real, all the guy is doing is jogging up the court and hitting open shooters with passes. We’re getting 40% LeBron.
Haha. Just put up a graphic about points that guards in second half have scored on Cavs and how that’s a testament to Kyrie. That’s a testament to playing Kyrie with second unit and switching better defensive guards onto primary ball handlers.

Yep. Mike Miller was never the same after the back injury, but he had enough lower body to give you something. Dunleavy just so wispy to begin with.

I miss the Delly alley oop to TT. I am sure TT does too as only LeBron looks for it much.
No effort yet from the Cavs. We got murdered on the boards, didn’t even sweat on D, didn’t run one crisp play on O, yet we are down 2 at the half. This has the feeling of a blowout loss, but Cavs’ talent is just too great for middling Eastern teams to overcome.

For the third straight game the opposing team is attacking Frye with great success on pick n roll situations.
He simply can’t defend the opposing guards in those types of situations.
