After a couple weeks into the NBA season, I joined Tom Pestak and CavsTheBlog founder, John Krolik in the podcast studio. We discussed the state of the Cavs, their “big three,” the offense, the defense, Domingo Ayala, Cavs history, and so so much more. This definitely took one of our stranger turns, as we went into a deep dive on the Cavs’ 21st century history and a walk down amnesia lane.
As always, listen above, on Soundcloud, or on iTunes.
Loved the pod as always. Keep them ‘long in the tooth,’ as well, I think the format fits you guys well. How about LeBron getting into this quarrel with Phil Jackson? James seems to mention the definition of the word, which according to my editing dictionary is basically a group raised by a sheriff to go arrest someone, not seeing anything pejorative there; even connotation is tough since the same dictionary provides a second informal use to describe any group of like-minded, or of… Read more »
never. As a white guy, I hope someone can publish a dog whistle dictionary so I know what not to say. There’s no way Phil Jackson was invoking race when saying this. Was it derogatory? Yes. LeBron has shown considerable restraint throughout… Read more »
I’m with Tom… Steph being “hurt” was a convenient narrative until you look at things like the aforementioned dead ball dunk attempt… or his 40 point game against the Blazers… or having almost a triple double in Game 6 against OKC… or dropping 36 on them in Game 7… or 38 on the Cavs in Game 4… Not exactly the stats of an “injured” player… He just doesn’t respond well to aggression, and was similarly limited in the first three games against the Cavs’ grit squad in the 2015 Finals… The only deserved category that Steph Curry should have ever… Read more »
Unsurprisingly Delly’s +- numbers have cratered now that he’s not playing next to LeBron. Bucks are already regretting that contract.
Cols, we finally got you to become a +/- disciple. Looking forward to this brave new world
Haha.
This should be a Lifetime Achievement Award for you also
