Tom Pestak, Nate Smith, and John Krolik check in with a first quarter analysis of your Cleveland Cavaliers. Topics: biggest surprises and disappointments so far; the current rotations; the Liggins effect; J.R.’s blues; LeBron’s ever changing jumper; north/south Kyrie; Tom’s pillow talk; prepping for the Dubs; and so much more. We ask hard questions like: can the Liggins/Shump backourt work off the bench? Is James Jones consuming super garbage time powerups? Do the Cavs need another playmaker? Can Kay Felder develop on the Cavs? Who’s your garbage pile point guard of choice? Who would you trade K-Love for straight up? How much did Cleveland win the Wiggins’ trade by? Who’s da real MVP?
You can hear us above, on SoundCloud, or on iTunes.
Tom – is it Kronovi vs JHZER ?
I had no knowledge of Rocket League; Tom has mentioned it many times in the podcasts but never described or explained the game itself. I pulled up this video and watched a few minutes, it’s basically flying car soccer.
Provided the squad continues to demonstrate its BRASS ONIONS throughout the season, I will be a happy man.
Wiggins sucks at defense.
I always listen to and enjoy the whole damn thing.
Brass Onions
Will be, Westbrook
Should be, LBJ
Brass Onions? What does that mean? Is it Genitalia?
For the zillionth time. JR Smith was disappointing verse the frauds in 2015, however he WAS STILL BETTER THAN DELLY in that series. Delly shot 25%!!!!
I also do not like the pump fake and flail into a defender at the three point line as a foul.
OK. Let’s remember this that Nate deemed Dunleavy done December 13 2016. So when Dunleavy picks it up, remember this.
Also he called Felder done 2 months into his career.
I called him Done-leavy at the beginning of November. Get it right.
Also didn’t say Felder was done, just said he wasn’t going to get the playing time to develop while on the Cavs roster.
Ok, mid-november
Ha. OK. I still think you are wrong about MDJ. I really don’t know that much about Felder. We just don’t have much use for a backup PG.
The beginning of this podcast was really funny.
Judging by our group email thread, Malloy hasn’t listened yet
HARD EYE ROLL AT YOU ALL. Glad the most generic white guy of all of us could be looked to for diversity! Hah.
We were seriously ahead of the podcasting curve. It took all the other blogs at least 6 months to get one going once we did. Even the rest of the TrueHoop peeps needed some time. Definitely proud of that.
Also, still feel vindicated at my Chris Grant displeasure from way back when. TT and Kyrie turned out great. Everyone else, though…
