Talking Cavs with Mark Neal

Mark and I talk about resting players, contenders and pretenders, I offered my take on why the Cavs were able to beat the Warriors, remembering Craig Sager, and how the Cavs defensive philosophy changes with respect to the Warriors adding Kevin Durant. (I claimed Harrison Barnes was 1-8 from 3 in Game 7. He was 2-4. But he was 3-15 from 3 over the last 3 games. The point stands.) Mark threw me some red meat in asking what my favorite stats are. Give it a listen!
Lowe brings hope back to journalism for me.
The presidential election removed all hope for journalism for me.
I think westbrooks triple doubles are absolutely justified.
Tom, do not forget the Finals. That team is fraudulent. They cannot handle the pressure.
The resting players stuff is a collective action problem. It’s good for the individual team, but bad for the league. If I was commissioner I would just extend the season by one week on either side and get rid of back to backs.
Didn’t they basically just do that with the new CBA? Shortening the preseason and starting the regular season a week or two earlier should get rid of the majority of back to backs…
It’s the most dunk-tastic time of the year… (although they should have had Kev throwing that nog on a full court outlet touchdown pass…)

From Zach Lowe’s article today. [http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/18287165/zach-lowe-10-things-like-featuring-marc-gasol-kawhi-leonard-more-nba]
But wait…there’s more!
Goodness. It must be ridiculously hard to be a fan of that team. The lies you have to tell yourself. STRENGTH IN NUMBERS!!!!
Lowe is doing God’s work.
Haha. The most least liked smug arrogant team since forever. What a bunch of frauds.
