No panic this season, but the Cavs are struggling. Â Mark and I talked about the issues facing the Cavs and went around the Association. Â I’m interested in our communities thoughts on the question how this generation of NBA players ranks as far as talent, skill, and entertainment value – I gave Mark my thoughts and we took a few callers who had their opinions.

WATCHED PART OF THE PISTONS / DUBS GAME LAST NIGHT —-AND HAVE TO APOLOGIZE SOMEWHAT ON MY RECENT BLOGS ( RATHER HARSH ON THE CAVS RECENT PLAY ) COMMENTATORS SPENT MUCH TIME LAST NIGHT DISCUSSING WHY ELITE TEAMS LIKE THE DUBS / CAVS / SPURS SOMETIMES “PLAY UGLY ” –SO CALLED SUBPAR BASKETBALL—BASICALLY THEY “ARE BORED “– THESE PLAYERS HAVE COMPETED AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL —NBA FINALS —WITH ALL THE ENERGY / EXCITEMEMNT / EMOTIONS ETC —THEY HAVE EXPERIENCED THAT SPECIAL FEELING –TO ASK PLAYERS TO BRING THEIR ” A” GAME EVERY NIGHT ESPECIALLY MID JANUARY –IT JUST ISN’T GOING… Read more »
Although I did not watch, I suspect the Commentators are idiots, like many or most commentators. There is a long way between the Cavs playing at their top form, and playing like they did against Portland. I don’t think it is bored. It is really hard to get yourself amped up to the level of the Warriors game, but not to the level needed to play decently against a fairly good team.
