Live Thread: Sixers @ Cavs
2017-03-31The Cleveland Cavaliers’ continue their busy month of March tonight as they return home to face the Philadelphia 76ers. With their loss to the Chicago Bulls last night, the Cavs have now lost five of their last seven games, and are 19-19 in their last 38, their worst stretch since the first half of the 2014-2015 season. J.R. Smith and Kevin Love have struggled mightily since returning from injury, Kyle Korver remains out with a sore left foot, and Iman Shumpert and Richard Jefferson have been in and out of the lineup. For the first time this season, the Cavaliers look like a long shot to make it to the NBA Finals, let alone repeat as champions.
While they’ve been terrible on the second night of back-to-backs, tonight’s game is still an opportunity for the Cavaliers to right the ship. While it’s sad to say, there were some improvements during last night’s game against the Bulls, particularly in the first half. Hopefully the Cavs can build on that with the home crowd behind them and get their first win in what seems like forever.
So again couldn’t watch the game. Kyrie the enforcer. That’s about the most insane b-ball thing I have ever questioned. Hey, like it a lot tho.
I like angry Kyrie. I do worry about him being biting off more than he can chew though :)
Some positives tonight, albeit vs a banged up Philly. JR & Love showed signs of life. Lue actually played more than 8 guys. Liggins was 9. We blew them out & got some rest. Too bad the Celtics pulled it out. Kyrie had a good game. He could have had 10 dimes easy. 30 as a team.
Pls have the writeup for this game be an april fools – either about cavs vs parochial girls school or cavs lose shocker to 76ers
Kawhi. SMH.
I’m glad everything is awesome
Again.
Spurs on the charge….
Orlando doing their best to lose by one.
C’mon Magic!!!
OKC killing th spurs
Well guess okc would probably kill us too
We would sweep them.
Sure they would.
Liggins is awful
Someone tell Cols we are playing the sixers. It feels good to dominate again but let’s be realistic here.
I realistically know we are going to the Finals barring injury.
I realistically know we are going to the Finals barring injury.
It’s terrible competition, but JR has looked more engaged tonight….I’ll take that as a plus…
Yep. Also nice to see Frye getting more time. And in the role he is used to.
Up next, Cavs take on a parochial girls middle school to keep the confidence rolling.
Lue would still play bron 38
Lebron against these scrubs is just men against boys
I predict 12-3 in ECF based off this domination.
Ha. And all you guys gave up on this team.
Dude it’s the sixers
Hoping sixers d-league team gives the cavs some needed confidence
Cavs are really good again!
Dude. One game. Sixers
Gonna say he’s just trolling, as usual…
Everything is awesome!
Big lapse at the end. But a solid quarter.
this game is awesome so far. gotta put em away EARLY
Man. I like Holmes. Dude is relentless.
That is a hell of a suit world b free was wearing.
What was the call on the liggins thing?
kicked ball
Do we know if Jefferson is out with injury?
knee tendonitis.
lebron being so darn predictable and we can’t stop them from penetrating again.
also…lebron…free throws…how…why?!
home court in 2 rounds would definitely be useful
Liggins sighting!
just gonna say that. good on ya Lue.
Liggins!
kyrie came to play again…we can get them in foul trouble if we’re willing to go the rim a lot in 2nd quarter
Non LeBron lineup kinda sucked. But could be worse.
find K-love!
derrick williams better get some bron minutes…whether it hurts us or not.
Good energy so far. Hope they’re not gassed in the third again.
Cavs have to find a second unit so they they don’t waste the starters’ energy.
at least so far our defensive rebounding is pretty solid. only reason we’re ahead
Except for that put back by Holmes.
The Cavs just fire up the absolutely first available shot.
Kyrie is a chucker. I hate this “offense”
+infinity
This sixers team tonight may be the worst lineup ever to play an NBA game
Not high hopes for this one. I’ll be glad to get out of March and move on to April…
I kind of feel like once the Cavs win one, they’ll go on a bit of a roll. They’re in their own heads right now.
good riddance to March
