Playoff Live Thread: Celtics @ Cavs, Game 3

The Celtics are in Cleveland tonight. After losing by 44 points in game two at home, one would think that the Celtics are ready to play on a different court, a court where they aren’t even expected to compete.
That’s probably not the case though. With Isaiah Thomas out for game three due to a hip injury, the Celtics can’t even hope a change of scenery will help them. They simply won’t be able to score enough tonight.
Tyronn Lue may try some stuff just for the sake of seeing how it works, some on the fly Finals prep, and he will probably play the starters just a little less. Still, I can’t see Boston coming within 15 of the Cavs after four quarters. I’m picking Cleveland 126-111.

I think the consecutive 30 point games tied with MJ record, consecutive 25 point games shooting 50% fg tied with Kareem record, and consecutive playoff wins tied with Lakers record that were all supposed to be broken tonight by Lebron got in his head.

I mean LeBron had a bad game so what he is human to me what’s unnaceptable was the lack of defensive effort specially in the last 2 possessions. That to me was really bad.

The ball bouncing around that much actually screwed up the Cavs’ ability to get a shot at the end. Game of inches.

I don’t know about JR. He made a mistake on the last play, and on the foul on the three, but he played well overall, hustled on D, and made some timely shots. Just because he made the last mistake doesn’t make him have a bad game.

No one here should be pleased with this celtics are vastly inferior and we are letting them hang around whether it’s podcap instacap or recap this team needs to get reamed big time
Cavs couldn’t get a stop and gave 2 wide open shots in the last 2 Celtics possesions. That to me is definitely a good sign moving forward.

No they won’t and you know why? Because of this Cavs L tonight. The Warriors will close out the Spurs tomorrow and have tons of rest and preparation for the Cavs.
They’ve had all year to prepare for the Cavs. I don’t think a little extra rest for them matters. The rest for us matters a little more because we’re a more veteran team.
On the other hand, the Finals is going to come down to LBJ being amazing enough. Rest won’t matter that much 20 days from now.
