Playoff Live Thread: Cavs @ Celtics, Game 1

The Cavs open up the Eastern Conference Finals on the road in Boston tonight. After rolling through the first two rounds in just eight games, they come into this series favorites once again.
The Celtics have their best chance to win tonight. The Cavs are coming off of over a week of rest, and they may actually be rusty. Or, and this may very well be the case, LeBron James will be at full strength and ready to completely make the Celts go into a full on “we’re not good enough as is with our super short super fun point guard, Isaiah Thomas” rebuild.
I’m picking the Cavs to win 107-98.
I’m so happy to be playing Boston, mostly because beating the Celtics is waaaay more satisfying than beating the Wizards woulda been.
Baron Davis is actually pretty good on tv.

Not sure how Game 2 will go…thinking it will be closer for bit longer but Cavs pull away….Cavs bench did nothing really tonight and yet Cavs won by 15 and had 20+ point lead for half the game…stunned Stevens doesn’t start Olynk or Smart game 2 and also play Gerald Green more…Amir Johnson is useless yet Stevens starts him hahaha

2nd half defense was shitty but we were up by a lot….Gerald Green is hilarious….dude dropped like 15 points in garbage time….possible Celtics catch fire with 3s next game….also possible Cavs do the same as well….liked Lue yelling at refs about BS calls….doubtful Celtics get away with that crap next game…Kudos to James/Love/TT for awesome games…thats all we needed….GO CAVS!!!

Our starting frontcourt. James 38 & 9 on 14 of 25 with 7 dimes. Love 32 & 12 on 9 of 16 & 6 of 9 from deep. TT with 20 & 9 on 7 for 7. Combined 90 & 41 on 30 of 48 (62.5%).

Celtics hot in 2nd half but game was practically over….only guys that worry me are Crowder and Bradley as they played fairly well tonight….IThomas looked flustered entire game…possible he bounces back but he will get Derozan treatment rest of series…Gerald Green pulling ‘ill score ton of points in garbage time’….JR was quiet, Shump was okay, and bench was meh yet Cavs always up around 20 points
Crowder sucks (great contract, though!), Bradley can hurt you if he gets his shot going. IT will have a difficult time this series. This isn’t the Bullets.
He did hit 4-6 threes tonight… granted most were wide open by design…
He can hit open 3s at times, he can also miss open 3s a lot…he’s streaky, and not very good on O or D…he is basically an average player on a cheap contract.

Cavs had 30, 31, 31 in the first 3 quarters, pretty damn good game offensively, and we actually hitting our FT’s at a 80% clip.
