InstaCap [R3G5]: Cavs 135, Celtics 102 (Boulevard of Broken Records) 2017-05-26 Off By Tom Pestak https://youtu.be/7wDBMkSK9qc Live Thread: Cavs @ Celtics Recap: Cleveland 135, Boston 102 (or, goodnight Boston, hello rubber match!)
Hey Tom, are you able to post your latest visit with Mark Neal? Love hearing those, thanks!
hey – thanks for reminding me. Just posted.
This is great. You have so much Cavs stuff. A tissue box!!
i have a lot. My goal is to reorganize my cave to display a lot more of it.
Good idea. Right now it looks more like a closet than a man cave. You got six days to rearrange it.
So good Tom! The great thing about having a few new vets on the team each year is that they can be a reminder of how hard it is to get to this level… Korver after 14 years… DWill after 12… Enchilada after 6… RJ, Channing and Dahntay last year… You would have had to been alive to see the Browns dominance in the 50s and 60s to have experienced something in Cleveland sports history remotely like what we’ve seen these past three years… truly incredible.
yes. It’s very easy to take it for granted just because it seems like a foregone conclusion that a LeBron-led team will be dominant.
I like the schedule, I think it helps Lebron and the Cavs old a lot.
To me game 2 will be the game to steal IMO. I expect the Cavs lose game 1 by double digits but then make the adjustments and take game 2.
Man, how great would it be if we walked in to Oracle and straight punk the Warriors like we did to Boston…
It would be great but it’s not going to happen. The Warriors will not miss their open looks like the Celtics did. If they get a win at Oracle they will have to play the same defense they played in game 7 of the finals last year.
I would have agreed with you in April. I still think it’s unlikely. BUT, something about this team when it really matters… LeBron is a force unlike any other and GS still doesn’t have an answer.
I really hope you are right but there’s a reason why the Warriors went after KD in the off-season. The Warriors won’t stop LeBron but the Cavs won’t stop KD either. To me this year this series will be decided by the others (role players). The duos of LBJ-KI and Curry-KD will cancel each other.
Except LeBron is so much better than Durant and has owned him in his career.
Not so much better, but yes LeBron is better.
Also, in Finals matchups, it seems like Kyrie gets the better of Curry more often than not…
I agree, and I hope Kyrie does the same this year. The Cavs will need it.
HEE HEe. Loved it, Tom.
Tom, thanks for the reminder to appreciate this era of Cavs basketball. When it’s gone, it’ll be gone for good.
Unless LeBron’s kids both go Lonzo Ball on the rest of the league!!!
He hit em with the silencer.
