Instacap [R1G3]: Warriors 118, Cavs 113 (Finally, add a touch of Durant and VoilĂ ) 2017-06-08 Off By Tom Pestak Live Thread: Cavs vs Thunder Finals PodCap: Warriors 118, Cavs 113 (or, Defeat from the Jaws of Victory)
The game hurt because the Cavs played probably well enough to beat literally EVERY team in the NBA Finals and fell short. Were there mistakes? Of course. You can’t go below the three point line in transition against this team and LeBron made a mistake. However, what more can you really ask of LeBron? The dude had 39-11-9 and was super efficient. Kyrie attacked the rim at will and had an efficient game as well. He couldn’t make a tough jump shot to break them. Korver in the corner, I’ll take that any day, the dude shot 50%+ from there… Read more »
Yep. Korver had the shot. Durant went ISO and won the game for them. Last year they didn’t have that. LeBron has been phenomenal all season. Love that guy.
My four points: 1. Our transition defense is unable to stop their transition offense. I don’t know if that’s because our D is terrible or their O is amazing, or both, but there were numerous times when we missed a shot and the Warriors quickly ran out for a layup/dunk or an open 3 from Curry/Durant/Klay. Then we see all our guys looking around at each other, usually LeBron and Kevin and Kyrie who don’t get back on D. 2. Three is better than two. Our bread and butter is LeBron and Kyrie driving to the basket off either pick-and-roll… Read more »
Change of décor in the mancave?
love the golf clap, exactly how I feel. Congrats on stacking the deck so far in your favor that you can play that free and loose and not have a care in the world. That’s not what makes a champion. Its an empty championship. I hope the rivalry continues and Cavs come back with a fire in their belly.
Loved the game, was amazing to watch. I hope they bring same intensity on Friday to give us another fun game.
It’s going to take a little time to digest to completely understand just what the Warriors have done. Short answer no doubt is KD. Without him, I really believe Cavs win. However Warriors did more than that. They have obliterated Tristan completely and it def has caused Cavs to be out of sorts. One of Cavs strengths, staples is the 3 point shooting. They are not doing that. We’re not seeing the swinging back and forth to Korver, a 3, Frye, a 3, Kyrie a 3. ect. You have to think Warriors have done that somehow too rather it’s a… Read more »
I wouldn’t be surprised Warriors pick him up just for spite. They love to pick off a former CAvs player or past staff, or coach.
I’m sad.
Paul Pierce thinks we’re witnessing the “changing of the guard” from LeBron to Durant?
Nope. Durant is not on LeBron’s level. A finals ring doesn’t change that either.
He’s always had a rivalry with Lebron. They never liked each other. He’s taking that out by preying on prisoners of the moment. It’s a completely bogus and bias take. He knows it too. He has a wry smile after he says it.
Lebron is unbelievable. KD will never reach his level.
Agree. LeBron already cemented the 2nd GOAT title last finals.
Ya. Context is everything in life and bball. No one will agree because inane stupidity.
