With only nine games to go in the regular season, the Cavs face the Miami Heat for their final showdown of the regular season. Additionally, this is a possible preview of Cleveland’s first round playoff match-up as the Eastern Conference standings are very much in flux. Kevin Love has returned and has unleashed LeBron in a way that we have yet to see in the King’s storied career. No, really, check out the stats mentioned in this Amico Hoops article. Korver is still with his family as he morns the loss of his brother and Cedi is still out with an injured hip.
The Cavs tend to play poorly in Miami so this should be a closely contested game. Not to mention all of the dramatics that return now that Wade is once again not LeBron’s teammate. Fortunately, back-up head coach Larry Drew has the Cavs on a five game win streak. If LeBron is still in terminator mode, there isn’t a thing Miami will be able to do despite some lingering absences for Cleveland. The Cavs need to keep winning to close out the season and tonight is no exception as LeBron and company will attempt to hold back the Heat. As always, Go Cavs!

With the IT news (not playing and considering surgery), I’d like to get the new hot takes from the national media morons who were saying that the Cavs ‘improved in the short term, but have a much lower ceiling’ after the trade deadline. Nothing wrong with admitting you were blowhard idiots, guys.
It’s a miracle that horrible kyrie trade was salvaged. Shouldn’t have asked fot IT. Should have backed out when he failed the physical. Luckily was able to turn him into nance.

Heat tryed to let us come back this game and we just had nothing.
For the love of God, please don’t start Jeff Green tomorrow. Rebounding and defense are always horrible whenever he starts at power forward.
Anyone know the Cavs record versus the heat when wade plays since LBJ came back? Not specifics, just a general estimate of under 500, 500, over 500. I feel like we haven’t done well. Seems like every time they play Wadethey get their butts whooped.

This is the kind of game where we needed Cedi to return the intensity the heat came with, getting up in people’s grill, it’s contagio. Refs were an abomination, but if you’re going to get punched in the mouth, you need to get up and put a whooping on someone, Olynk would be my choice. Cavs looked soft.

Cavs need to get a thug. When a team plays them like this they have to get a guy who can escalate and force the refs to tighten up the officiating.

The Cavs were playing 5 on 7 tonight, but did themselves no favors either.
Doesn’t help that love gets his face busted in the first couple minutes. But yeah…we need a couple more sophisticated sets against a team like this when we aren’t at full strength
